Chapter 28

"ow" I said trying to cover my eyes, but a hand kept me from doing it

"Emma" Jude cried holding my hand

"hey" I said still warily from the light

"thank god your awake" mom said from the other side with dad. they all looked terrible especially Jude, but I feel like he might have had a head start with my parents cause of all the time we spent apart

"how long have I been out?" I groaned trying to get up

"don't move, you've been in a coma for two weeks" Jude said lightly pushing me pack down

"I was in a coma" I said getting the severity

"you started yelling out my name and the next thing I know I see you falling down the stairs" she said crying

"I was out when your mother called me and said you were in a coma and i rushed right over to the hospital" dad told me

"sorry" I apologized for the scare. I really need to stop doing stuff that makes me say sorry

"it's ok, just don't ever leave us like that again" Jude said looking at me with so much love it made me smile? but I still remembered my feelings for Asher. what am I gonna do?

"I see your awake Emma" the doctor said coming into the room

"Liam" I remembered his name

"so you remember me from when you visited with Asher?" he asked smiling while Jude growled a little holding onto my hand a little tighter

"no I remember you from last time" I told him remembering how after I woke up from the first fall I was in the same hospital with him as my doctor

"you remember that?" mom asked while Liam only smiled a little more

"yeah I can remember everything now, why didn't you tell me that I had amnesia?" I asked mom feeling a little hurt that she kept it hidden from me this long

"the doctor said it was best not to tell you since you were so young" she told me looking sorry

"may I speck with Emma alone for a minute?" he asked

"why?" Jude almost growled

"Jude please, it could be important" I begged him and he looked reluctant

"fine" he said walking out slowly with the others

"so you remember everything now?" he asked

"yes"

"including Asher?" he asked

"so you do know" I realized. I felt like there was something more behind this

"yes" he answered before he started glowing a little bit and white spiral like wings grow from his back

"I'm an angel" he smiled at me

"just like Asher" I said looking at him amazed

"no, Asher is different. he's not an angel he's just a really good person" he chuckled before letting his wings go back. so that takes out another creature that he is

"what is he?" I asked while he came over and put a hand on my sore head

"he told me not to tell you if you ever asked" he said while healing me

"he also told me that I shouldn't try and restore your memory" he said when he was done

"why?" I asked confused

"at the time I was new at this so me restoring memories was a risky procedure, you had to do that on your own" he told me and it was silent

"........you should have done it anyways" I said feeling terrible. Asher went through years no doubt alone before he could finally meet me again in high school only to be disappointed to find me with other guys left and right, till I finally ended up finding a mate.
