4 friends decide to go see this old asylum in a few towns over from where they were going to college mostly for Emily to take photographers. She was begging her best friend Dean to go with her for forever. Dean brings along with friends,two bothers...
"Joseph Bartlett was a seriously messed up man. He did all these experimental surgeries and practices on the people that were admitted here. You all know what lobotomies are?"
"Isn't that when they cut up someones brain?" asked Jared.
"Kinda ya, but anyways that was the not even the worst he did" said Emily.
"We get the picture Em, no need to continue" said Dean.
"Any ways lots of people died here in some very gruesome ways" said Emily.
"You think there is any files on the patients left here?" asked John looking around the room.
"I bet they got rid of everything" said Jared who also started to look around the room with Emily, Dean was close by Emily.
"Cool" said Jared, "The man of the hour" he pulled out an old portrait of Joseph Bartlett.
"Is this him?" asked Dean.
"That's him" said Emily.
"Looks like psycho to me. Maybe he should've been committed here" said Jared.
"Put it back. Its creeping me out" said Dean.
"I don't think there is anything left here on any of the patients" said John.
"Where to next?" asked Emily.
"I think this is far enough" said Dean.
"What! No! We are going exploring" said Emily walking off.
Dean sighed. Jared and John followed Emily out of the room. Dean then followed them.
They walked out into a lobby area.
"I bet the people who dropped their family members off here had no idea what was about to happen" said Jared.
"Let's go down stairs, that's were they performed all the surgeries and stuff. Up here there are just patient rooms" said Emily.
"Why do you know of this?" asked John.
Emily shrugged.
"No, I draw the line here. No way are we going to the BASEMENT of a CRAZY HOUSE!" yelled Dean.
Emily gave Dean the puppy dog eyes "Dean..."
"No Em, that isn't working this time"
Jared and John shot each other a smile and a slight laugh. Dean gave them a glare.
"This place is falling apart, its dangerous"
"Well you can wait here, Jared, John and I will go" said Emily looking over at them.
Jared and John saw the look that Dean gave them and they looked away.
"Fine I'll go by myself then" said Emily walking away.
Dean grabbed her arm "Okay fine"
Emily smiled.
"Why are you so damn stubborn?" asked Dean as they started to walk away to find the stairs.
Jared whispered to Emily "One odd sound and Dean is going to freak"
Emily laughed, John nearby heard too and smiled.
"Shut up Jared" said Dean, "I will not"
John then tapped a metal can on the floor making a sound echo down the hall. Dean jumped.
"Told ya" said Jared.
"Guys seriously cut it out" said Dean.
"Ya guys just cut it back a little" said Emily.
"Ok we will stop" said Jared.
They soon came to the stairs.
"Ladies before gentlemen" said Jared motioning for Emily to go first.
Emily took a step to go down the steps. Dean stopped her and stepped in front of her. He then headed down the steps first, Emily followed him, then Jared and John.
"Someone got some guts" said Jared.
Emily turned around and shot him a look. Jared put up his hands, indicating he would stop making fun of Dean.
Once they got downstairs there were a set of doors slightly open at the bottom. It was dark, damp and creepy. They all pulled out their flashlights.

They headed through the doors and came into another long dark hallway. There were doors on each side. They were all shut tight except for one, which was open. They all shot each other a look.
"Are you creeped out now?" asked Dean to Emily.
"Now yes" said Emily. She took a step forward Dean followed her. They all slowly headed down the hallway to the open door.
John was in the back and whipped around when he thought he heard something.
"What?" asked Jared turning around too. Emily and Dean looked back.
"Nothing, I just thought... Nevermind" said John turning back around. They continued walking and got the open door.
Once there they all stopped when they saw what was inside.
"Holy Shit" said Jared.
"This is definitely where Dr. Bartlett performed all those experiments" said Emily.
