Have you ever felt true silence? To know that the millions of cars have stopped, even for just a moment. The slamming of filing cabinets, and the continous rustling of papers that fill the office workplace, the clacking of computer keys. For everything to just stop? To be able to finally listen to the wondrous noises the nature makes. Hear the world stop, to be able to hear the coursing veins of water embedded in the ground. The sound of fire dancing on wood, the crackling of the flames echoing through the darkness of the night. The wind whispering to the ancient trees, telling the mighty oak in a forgotten language, what happens in the human civilization. The sands of the desert, in the blazing heat, playing with each other, while the wind carries them into the air. Maybe a sand tornado is actually just the wind and sand dancing. Silence can make you hear the sounds you've never heard. Silence can be beautiful, yet sometimes silence can be heartbreaking.
When someone says goodbye, you might hear the world come crashing down. When they're gone, sometimes in the wreckage they created, and the holes they left behind, sometimes words aren't enough to express what you feel. Sometimes, silence is the best thing you can say. Sometimes, you don't choose the silence. Maybe, silence is all that's left.
