the brisk Saturday morning air hit my face as i opened my window,
I inhaled the fresh scent of the lovely summer air as i retreated back to my closet to pick out an outfit to wear for the day.
Today was the first official day of summer holidays, meaning no school for two months, also meaning no more jerks from school.
I settled on my usual navy blue plaid skirt, white knee socks and a white blouse.
After getting dressed, i made my way downstairs to be met with my mother and father sitting at the dinner table, my father enjoying his morning paper and a hot cup of coffee and my mother dishing out her breakfast from the large assortment of eggs, bacon, toast and all other things from the table.
this is how we usually were on mornings, i always hate the word perfect but we were pretty darn close.
"so, Dannielle, are you excited to meet our new neighbours tonight, love?" my father smiled at me whilst glancing over his paper.
"what?" i asked, not knowing we had new neighbours.
"manners Danny" my mother scolds.
"pardon..." i correct myself before speaking again. "what happened to the Larson's?".
my father ignores my question so i decide to make my way outside to go for a walk,
Making my way down the road and to the woods, walking down a trail that will lead me to a small cliff to which I go to whenever I feel as if I need some space.
As I make my way through the woods, the bright golden sun shimmers against my light blonde hair, my blue eyes glisten with excitement as I approach the rock.
I smooth out my skirt as I settle down on the cliff, my eyes gazing at the Astonishing view ahead of me.
I plug my ear buds into my iPhone as I hit play on my music,
Skinny love- birdy
My favourite song comes on as I lay back and soon my eyes start to drift closed.
My eyes flutter open as a small rain drop falls on my forehead,
Quickly I get to my feet, I start running down the trail, putting my phone and earbuds in my blouse pocket.
As I start to approach my house, I'm already soaked, the rain was slowly dying down as I stepped in the gates of my neighbourhood, earning weird stares from my elderly neighbours,
I trudged to my house, but before I could walk through my hedge gate, I notice a beat up black pickup truck in the Larson's old parking spot,
The truck standing out compared to the usual rich kid cars you see here, either things like range rovers or small silver cars.
So the rusted black pickup truck was a little odd to see here, but my curiosity got the best of me so I slowly walked towards the truck.
Just as I get close enough to examine, a body crashes into me,
"Oi! Watch where your going" the tall boy I crashed into gets back on his feet, his prominent Australian accent has me shocked, still on the ground.
"Uh, I... I um..." I try to speak through my state of nervousness and the flush starting to get noticeable on my cheeks.
His deep voice forms a chuckle as he smirks at me,
"So, what might your name be?" He asks in a rather seductive tone.
"Dannielle... And yours?" I speak while my cheeks blush even more.
"Nice to meet you Elle, I'm Cam." He winks at me before going back to his house.
But before he enters, he turns to face me and smirks,
"Now, little Elle wouldn't want any boys seeing her scandalous pink bra? Right?" He laughs before walking through the door and shutting it.
I look down at my wet blouse and sure enough, it's see through due to water.
I cover my chest with my arms as I walk next door to my house, quickly entering and running upstairs to avoid my parents asking me what took so long.
When I get to my room, I peel off my wet knee socks and then start unbuttoning my blouse, pulling it off after.
Just as I'm about to take off my skirt I look up to notice a familiar pair of gorgeous hazel eyes staring at me and my half naked body from next door, a sly smirk plastered across his face, as his large hands run through his dirty blonde curls.
I soon snap out of my trance and fall to the floor to avoid him seeing my in my bra any longer,
I sit on the floor, scrambling to find a shirt, grabbing a large t-shirt I happen to find, then putting it on and getting up to glare at him but I'm greeted by a closed window.
I roll my eyes and change into a new blouse with a maroon skirt and some new knee socks, then re doing my hair and going downstairs to wait for my parents to take me to the neighbours for dinner.
They come down in somewhat fancy clothes and we make our way to the next door house, the sight of the truck giving me this weird feeling in my stomach.
My dad knocks on the door twice and then we wait, after about 2 minutes a tall, dark haired man in a suit opens the door,
"Ah, come in, come in." The man gestures us in to his house.
As we walked in, a woman who was rather short, came running down the stairs in a sundress, she had light brown hair and green eyes, and she immediately smiled and greeted us.
Her accent was Australian like Cam's.
We were all set at the table when there was a ping from the woman's cell phone.
"For Christ sake Cameron..." She trails off as she dials a number.
"Cameron Julian William's you will get down here to this dinner table and not go to a friends tonight for we have guests!" The woman grits her teeth while on the phone.
We hear a door slam and several loud footsteps before the curly headed boy trudges into the dining room, in a ACDC band tee and some black ripped skinny jeans.
"Cameron what have I told you about dressing up..." The man nervously smiles.
"Shut up Eric, your not my father" Cam snarls back.
His mouth soon twitches into a smile as he sees me, making his way to sit in the seat next to me and another empty seat.
"We have another son, he isn't here today but he gets back tomorrow" the woman explains.
We all begin to eat our meals in peace, the adults engaging in serious conversation.
All of the sudden my breath hitches in my throat as I feel Cameron's large hand settle itself on my thigh.
My face goes beet red as I attempt to remove his hand to which he tightens his grip.
He leans close to my ear,
"Hello, doll."
His deep voice rings through my head.
