Sami
I barely paid attention to Mr. Abbott while he was teaching some kind of math. I was too busy checking out Jake. When he looked up, I was looking him up and down. He didn't write notes, just looked around taking in the class.
Mr. Abbott was saying something about exponential and logarithmic functions, but I didn't listen. At all.
When the bell rang I was hoping Mr. Abbott forgot about me taking Jake to class.
He didn't.
"Miss Maxe?" He called.
I slowly turned around at the door which I was about to exit through. "Yes, Mr. Abbott?"
"Mr. Kassen would like to go to Gym now. Please help him with this class and compare your schedules."
"Sure," I said quietly with my head down.
Jake walked over to me with a big smile.
I could feel my face burning. I walked out with Jake at my side looking down at me with a smirk.
I could feel the stares as we walked down the hall. But as we turned the corner to the locker rooms one glare stood out from the rest. I looked up to find Molly who was burning a hole in my head.
She walked up to me and Jake. As she walked her short skirt bobbing up and down.
"Hi...what's your name?" she said with a smile.
How does she not know my name? We have 'known' each other since 6th grade. "Sami" I mumbled keeping my eyes on the ground.
"Yeah. Hi Sami." She said with a smirk at my discomfort. Then she turned with a flirty smile already plastered on her face. "Hey, Jake. Do you need help finding the locker rooms?"
Jake smiled uncomfortably, " Actually no. Um, Sami here was about to take me to class." He scratched the back of his neck and smiled wider.
Molly looked back at me and smiled.
I looked into her eyes and saw a murderer. She was going to murder me. I decided to save my own life rather than get slaughtered because of a guy I didn't even want to be around
I smiled at Jake, "Hey don't worry about it. Molly here knows the school forward and backward. I would probably just get you lost." I looked back at Molly and saw satisfaction in her eyes.
Jake nodded slowly and Molly led the way.
I sighed and made my way to the girl's locker room. I quickly unlocked my locker and slipped on my pink T-shirt and a pair of leggings. I ignore all the girls around me who are gossiping and squealing about whatever is going on in there lives. I placed my regular outfit into my backpack. I slipped a book out of my backpack and started reading. The other girls in the locker room bustled around and got ready. When a few of the girls got ready I slipped my book into my backpack and started out.
I slipped onto the track as many people were already there.
I saw Jake standing in the middle of the crowd. Having many people trying to get his attention.
As I took my place in the back if the class I saw Jake's head pop up to look me In the eye. He stood up and walked over to me. What was with this guy! Leave me alone. Gosh Dang!
"Hey," He said with a smirk. His eyes showed a little curiosity like he was trying to get somewhere with me. I decided to ignore him. See how you take that.
He kept looking at me trying to figure me out.
Ha! Good luck buddy.
"You don't like me much do you?"
