"The mall at the train stop!" Kath chirped, looking dreamily at the ceiling as she thought back to her exploration. "Such nice clothing and sights..."

Nadine rolled her eyes. "I only gave you 1000 pesos...there was no way you did all that and ate with onl--"

Kath reached into her pocket and dropped the receipts onto Nadine's open palm.

Nadine creased a brow: Kath somehow did find deals on the shoes and hair. The make-up, however, remained a mystery. "Okay but explain...." Nadine paused as she eyed the make-up. She had never worn that much so seeing it caused her to feel immensely uneasy as it appeared so foreign. So unlike her.

"There was a free makeover day, so I took it! And Nadine all this fits you so well. Not just the outfits but the make-up and what not. You look even prettier! And James and Diego both agreed," Kath said with a wink. "And that brings me to the nex--"

"James...and..Diego..?" Nadine mumbled, her eyes enlarging as she felt goosebumps appear over her skin.

"I..I left something--" Kath paused as she saw Nadine cross her brows. "But I retrieved it just fine! Unfortunately I ran into Diego and James and wow, Nadine, James is in love with you," Kath blurted out.

"He's what?" Nadine repeated, making a doubtful face as she awaited Kath's elaboration.

"Okay, and I kind of..I..Diego kissed me--technically you--but it was me and I tried to avoid it but he still did and I'm sorr--"

"I don't care, that's expected. But what the hell are you claiming now about James?" Nadine questioned, stepping a couple steps forward.

Kath cocked her head to the side. "You don't care...your boyfriend kissed me?"

Nadine rolled her eyes. "Well he thought it was me so of course he would. Why would I be upset? I'm more interested in what you're saying now because I thought we debunked this days ago," she reminded.

Kath shook her head. "I thought so too, but no. He's in love with you and hear me out because I think you may need to reconsider," she began.

"Reconsider what?" Nadine asked, raising a brow.

"If your boyfriend really is the right one for you," Kath answered. "You two are quite dysfunctional it is stressful to watch..."

Nadine clenched her fist. "As if you know us both! I know we have a lot of issues, but you have only been around for a week so how can you sa--"

Kath uncrumpled a napkin and looked up briefly at Nadine, who went silent as her eyes curiously awaited an answer as to what made that napkin feel so oddly significant.

Kath took a deep breath as she began to read what she had written from memory while on the train. "You know me, I don't really care what they're saying about me. Everybody thinks I'm just playing, but I'm beat. Can you see all i need is to be with you baby, baby...Be real with me, you gotta a man but you're still complaining. Well I'm free, baby I'm just here for you waiting. Can we be? Baby please I'm gonna need a little more than a maybe."

Nadine's mouth hung open as she failed to find the right words to respond.

"What is-"

Kath held a hand up, motioning her to cease her train of thought as she had more to say.

"It cut off here but....'take a chance on me now, stop playing so safe, you are the only one I sing about..you should leave your man in the house...your man is a 7 you're more like a 20'" Kath said aloud. "I didn't get a chance to write all but he also kept repeating 'I love you anyways'".
