(Jackson Clydes P.O.V) (pic of Jackson up top/ drawn by me)
I looked at the man towering over me. "Hello, my name is En. My son, Shadow is the one you will be training." He said. I pushed my shaggy brown hair out of my eyes. "My name is Jackson Clyde Niomi. Jackson Clyde is my first name. You can can me either or."
I heard a door swing open, then slam shut. "Dad, I'm home!" Someone shouted. The boy walked into the room, coming to a halt when he saw me.
"Hi, I'm Jackson Clyde. You can call me either or." I held my arm out for him to shake it. Shadow eyed his father, then me. His father, then me. I saw En nod slightly at Shadow.
He grabbed the tip of one of my fingers and shook that. I frowned. "Well you seem nice." I said sarcastically. "He just has to get used to you that's all. He's not good at trusting people." En stated.Just like I don't trust you. "Come on kid, does this look like a face that would hurt someone?" I questioned peppily. "You are a Niomi. Niomi's are famous assassins, and your father is king of the demon of lights." Shadow deadpanned. I crossed my arms. "What ever kid."

(Shadows P.O.V)
My father wants me to trust this kid? He seems like he could barely tie his own shoelaces. I thought. "What ever kid." I half heard him say. My father sighed. "Shadow, you can trust him. He will not hurt you, and if he were to I would kill him." Jackson laughed. "You? Kill me? I would like to see you-" my father cut him off "Shut. Up." "Sorry." Jackson quickly muttered. "Fine. I will try to trust him." I said reluctantly. I didn't even try to hide the annoyance in my voice. "Thank you." After those two words escaped his mouth, my father walked away.
"Okay, first of all what is your favorite sport?" Jackson inquired. "Basketball." Jackson stuck his lip out. He looked like he was about to say something then began to mutter. "If basketball was invented by a teacher why does another teacher need to adjust the game to teach someone? The teacher should have made the game more teachable. Aha! I know! There is a secret code hidden in the game!" I looked at him like he was retarded. (Mainly because I seriously think he is.) "what was all of that about?" "Huh? Oh. Well, I like to try and solve the questions in life no one else bothers to answer." Jackson said while looking off into space. "That's because they don't matter." I snorted. "Yes they do. Every thing in life has a reason for being here. Even stupid questions no one cares about." Jackson quickly retorted. "If everything is here for a reason why am I here?" I don't have a reason. I wish I wasn't here." "That is for you to find out. I am to busy trying to find out the answer to that same question myself." Jackson stood up and cracked his knuckles. One finger at a time. "Let's start training."
Jackson had a basketball resting in his left hand. "Let's play a game I call Jacksonball." Jackson held the word Jacksonball out longer than he should of. "Don't you mean basketball?" I asked. Jackson threw the ball in a short bit of rage at my face. It hurt. A lot. "If I meant basketball I would have said Basketball." He pouted. "How old are you?" "I dunno. I don't want to know." He answered. "Oh, well I'm pretty sure your five because that's what your acting like." I snapped. Jackson began to laugh. "You think your tough? You think you can beat me? I eat snot nosed kids like you for breakfast, but if you really think your stronger. Bring it." Jackson challenged. I smiled evilly. "I'm going to make you wish you had never challenged me." "I hope so Shadow, I really hope so."
I hope you all liked this chapter! Don't worry! It will get better soon, and I will be sure to you all more background info on the two soon. Don't forget to tell me what you think!😁😁
Jackson- "can anyone tell me who invented the American language? I mean seriously! Was it just a trend that we all picked up on?! I am seriously confused!"
Me- *face palm* "just shut up already"
