"Conceal and don't feel my precious son." King Alexander slipped two gloves onto Elliot's hands. He sighed and looked him in the eyes "We both love you, but we can't have you reveal your ice powers to the kingdom."
Elliot nodded and glanced at both of his parents. "What about Andrew?" He rocked back and fourth on his heels eager to see his brother again.
King Alexander and Queen Emily looked at each other and exchanged looks. Looks of what appeared to be guilt. "You must not see your brother until the day of your coronation." Queen Emily carefully caressed Elliot's cheek and sighed.
Elliot clasped his hands behind his back and smiled sadly "To keep him safe, I know. But I don't want to be a monster to him.. I don't want him to fear me." he started to tear up.
"Go to bed, Elliot. The moon has risen high and that reminds us of your bedtime." Queen Emily started to saunter to the door that was half open. "Goodnight Elliot." King Alexander nodded before leaving the room with Emily.

"Elliot! Want to play in the snow? I heard a snow storm had passed by last night.." Alexander, the younger of the Princes face fell as he didn't get a positive answer.
Elliot sat on the other side of the door and responded harsher than intended "Andrew, please. I can't leave my room."
Andrew huffed angrily "It's always like that! I can't even see my own brother. You always shut me out.. it's unfair." He quietly walked down the hall back to his bedchamber.
Elliot put his hand over his heart in pain, he hated doing this but it was a demand from his parents. A request. "Oh Andrew.." he sighed.

—10 years passed
"Do you both really have to go?" Elliot's face was filled with concern and doubt.
"You will be fine, Elliot. I know you can do it." Queen Emily nodded and smiled.
"See you guys in a few weeks!" Andrew gave his parents a hug and smiled sadly. He didn't even glance at his older brother for he was trying to avoid him.
"You two will be well taken care of." King Alexander added before exiting the palace gates.
Andrew frowned as they left and started to drag himself back to his room. Elliot watched his brother and shook his head "Andrew.."

— The Long Voyage
"Emily, calm down." The King tried to calm his wife as the rough storm roared as it grew stronger, the tides growing higher.
Queen Emily started to tremble as her heart raced rapidly "Our sons! We won't be able to see them ever again.." she started to tear up. She put her hands against her face and started to cry.
"My lord the tides are— oh my god!" One of the servants shouted in terror as a tidal wave devoured their ship whole.

— A week later
Andrew had just gotten back from the burial of his parents. He started to walk down the east corridor that led to Elliot's room. He held his hands together and dusted off his suit.
"Elliot.. they're gone. What are we going to do?" Andrew knocked softly at the door and softly cried as a response was heard from the other side.
"I'm sorry, Andrew.." Elliot stated as tears welled in his eyes. He couldn't step out of his room even if he wanted to.
"I figured you would say that.." Andrew said harshly as he pulled his cloak off and headed back to the west corridor that led to his side of the castle.
The months passed, Elliot's coronation grew closer and closer. Fear was his new enemy, a terrible enemy that would cause his powers to loose control.
Andrew had also isolated himself in his room, upset and began to despair. He wondered if he and his older brother would ever be close again like before. In his room he would usually write in his diary for the time to pass by quicker.
