When She Left [WIP]

♡ chapter one ♡

~ mae's pov ~ 

Natalie and I have been together since the seventh grade. Being in high school now, we've both had trials, but we had never experienced something with significance as large as this. This, as she and I both know, will change everything between us. Even with all these uncertainties, there's one thing that I know won't ever change- I love Natalie.

I heard the news just last night. It was around 11 PM and I received a call from Natalie. The sweet tune of my favourite Troye Sivan song signalled her call. At the moment I was on Tumblr, but I averted my eyes from the text posts and immediately answered her. As soon as she spoke, I could hear the tension in her voice. I hesitated to respond to her greeting as I wondered what could be wrong. "Hey, anything wrong?" I asked quickly, fear in my voice. "Y-yeah..." she responded. "Oh my god, oh my god!!! Baby, what's wrong??" I sputtered out. She took in a deep breath and let out a long sigh.

Natalie had explained to me how her father had to move to Michigan for work and that she had to come too. I couldn't believe it, she's leaving me. I'll have to spend every day without her. This feeling is insane, but not in a good way. I just can't imagine living my everyday life without her. She's my everything. I know how naive that sounds, me being only a teenager, but I really do love her. You really feel it when they're the one.
