The modern world has changed. With the birth of the new millennium and the revealing of ancient secrets, the lines of creation were once more exposed. The solid barrier between reality and fantasy became the veil again. For ages men were distracted. The perils of the fragile truth were hidden generation after generation. Entire families lived fighting to mantain the old secret. Few chosen men, the Sentinels - keepers of the old mystery who came from secular families over the world - stood alert, witnessing human consciousness interacting with the globe, like a sculptor shaping clay. Many of the now few were corrupted and used the secret for their own purposes. Dozens of wars had the Sentinels as secret generals and some of the most miraculous feats in human history also had the touch of the chosen.
Recently, in a moment which grew slowly, the truth has been discovered. What was hidden with the most dedicated work has been revealed. When they understood what had happen, the old Sentinels were struck with intense melancholy which looked like melancholy.
