The battle that never ended

"...S-Shinohara...?" The white haired boy held out a trembling hand towards the body of the older man who had jumped in front of him. The man let out a gentle chuckle. Blood streamed from his mouth and from the wound on his back.
"Juu...zuo..." He collapsed to the ground, his hand barely touching Juuzuo's. His breath came once, twice, in ragged gasps, then he went still.
Juuzuos eyes widened in disbelief. He started to breath heavily. He squeezed his eyes shut, tears streaming down his ebony skin. He clutched his head with his hands.
"Ah...ah.." He screamed in anguish. It echoed off the roof of the building he was kneeled on. It vibrated through his soul. The monster before him let out a twisted screech.
"Shinohara! Wake up! Wake up! Wake... up, please!" Juuzuo screamed and screamed. Slowly, he rose to his feet, trembling. He faced the monster with a look of utter hate.
"You killed him. I'll kill you, I'll kill you!" He grabbed his sythe from the ground next to Shinohara's body and supported himself with it. He pushed himself forward, slashing and stabbing at the beast with his knifes and screamed curses and hate.
"That tickles!" Screeched the monster in a warbled and twisted dialect. It flung an arm at Juuzuo and he flew backwards, hitting a pile of pipes behind him. He heard his leg snap. Everything went black.

Juuzuos POV
"Suzuya! Suzuya! Damnit, Juuzuo wake up!" Someone was shaking me. Let me sleep, let me sleep. But something was wrong. Sirens, moaning, the sound of a heart moniter and people shouting words I couldnt hear. Slowly i opened my eyes. I was in the back of a CCG convoy, a medical truck. People lay in rows of cots, packed tightly in the restricted space the truck allowed. One cot in paticular had five doctors crowded around it. I couldnt see who was on it, but i could hear the doctors coversation.
"He needs more blood!"
"This isnt working."
"We dont have the right instruments for this!"
I had heard enough.
I started to close my eyes again.
"Hey, Suzuya! Dont fade on me!" I looked up at the person who had been shaking me. A slightly blurry face came into focus, his brown parted hair singed and bloody.
"Seidou?" Something was off about his appearance.
"Oh thank god," The young man sat down next to me on my cot. "What happened to you Juuzuo? What happened to Shinohara?"
"What happened...?" It was blurry. I couldnt remember. Then i saw his arm.
"Seidou... Your arm! What happened?"
Seidou turned to face me fully. His left arm was missing from the shoulder down. It was tightly wrapped with medical gauze and tape.
"That SS rated ghoul Noro. His regenerative abilites are the likes of which Ive never seen. The likes of which my team had...."
His face went very pale.
I should comfort him... Why cant i remember anything?
I just lay there, trying to recall how i went from fighting the Owl to here... How did i...?
"Shinohara!" I sat bolt upright. "Where is he?"
I tried to stand, but Seidou put his hand on my shoulder.
"Juuzuo... Theres something i need to tell you."
I pushed him off me. I was starting to recall things. How we killed the Owl. How i laughed and smiled. Then, how a horrible monster took his place, wiping out the team... Shinohara's team. How he and i fought it fruitlessly. How... He dove in front of me, and... What happened then? I couldnt recall...
"I need to find him, Seidou," he tryed to get me to lie down. I pushed him away again. "Let go of me."
"But... Juuzuo! Dont try to stand."
I didnt listen. I leaned to my left to move out of the cot, but toppled right over the side. I hit my head on the floor of the truck. Everything went kinda blurry.
"Juuzuo... When we found you, you were passed out on the roof of a building. Your leg was... Well," he cleared his throat. I looked down at where i thought my legs would be. "They tried to save it but," he seemed to have trouble forming words. "Lets just say that im not the only amputee this night has caused."
Where was my left leg? Where was it, where was it, where was it? My vision cleared. It was gone. My left leg was gone. Cut off at the hip.
No!
"Im sorry, Juuzuo."
