Pain. That's what you feel when the person you love is with another. You think you did something wrong to make them feel the way they do. You think am I not pretty enough? Smart enough? Skinny enough? Tall enough? Funny enough? Athletic enough? Just not enough. Loving someone who doesn't love you back is like hugging a cactus. The tighter you hold on, the more it hurts. You waste every birthday wish just hoping they'll give you a second glance. Take time out of their day to talk to you. They'll make you feel special. Then the next day they'll go back to ignoring you. To treating you like a mere speck of dust. And that just makes your self-esteem lower even more. Sometimes cupid runs out of arrows and shoots one person instead of two.
