It was early in the morning, too early for anyone to be awake. Armin looked around his room, still traumatised from the nightmare that he had. He bundled himself up in the blankets and quivered in the corner of his bed, scared silly.

The nightmare had been nothing out of the ordinary, a simple 'murderer' dream, but Armin was still distressed.

Shadows crawled along his walls and ceiling, coming at him from every angle, taunting him. The blonde cowered in fright, his heart beating as if there were a million horses stampedeing through his chest. His breathing was heavy, as he imagined the killer standing right outside of his bedroom door. It was just as his nightmare had been played out.

Tears began rolling down his soft, pale cheeks as he waited for this fear to end. Suddenly, he heard a knock at his door. Too frightened to even move, he sat still, frozen in his huddled position.
The handle clicked and Armin's granfathers head poked around the door.
"Is everthing alright? I heard shuffles and wanted to check on you..." He switched on the light, and edged closer to the blue eyed boy, noticing the tears on his face. He took a seat on the corner of Armin's bed, and pulled the teen into a large hug.
"It's ok..." He said in a hushed whisper, comforting him, as Armin cried and cried.

7:54 am

The sun shone brightly as seagulls could be heard, their shrill screams dancing in the wind. Armin's eyes slowly flickered open as he remembered the events of the night. He sighed and rubbed his eyes, still extraordinarily tired.
His thin, pale legs swung off the edge of the bed and he rose up, edging to the bathroom to prepare for the day.
Once finally ready, Armin grabbed his sunhat and his polaroid camera and rushed out of the door, waving to his grandpa and placing the hat on his head.

Armin loved photography. He found it calming, and enjoyed the creative aspect of it. He smiled as he strolled along the path, finding his first photo opportunity.
He switched on the device and held it before his eyes, capturing a perfect shot.
The polaroid camera printed out a vision of the local lake, and Armin grasped the image in his hand.
The photo wasn't bad at all, and he smiled, taking it in his hands and slotting it inside a zipped pocket in his bag.

As Armin continued to walk down the streets, more photos appearing in the pocket, and he noticed another boy, who was looking at him with kind eyes and a warm smile. The boy walked up to him, a phone in the other's hand, as he waved at the blonde.
"I noticed you were taking pictures... Do you like photography?" He asked and smiled.
Armin gazed into the tall boy's eyes, a small grin appearing on his face.
"Y-yeah... It's a hobby of mine." He said, and scratched the back of his neck a little awkwardly.
The brunette gave another smile towards Armin, and held out his hand in a friendly manner.
"I'm Eren by the way, nice to meet you!" He said cheerily.
"I'm Armin..." The blonde took Eren's hand shyly and shook it.
"Do you wanna maybe hang out sometime?" Eren asked, he barely even knew Armin, but felt like there was something between them.
"S-sure!" Armin smiled up at the tall boy. "Uh... Do you want my phone number then?" He asked, looking curiously at him.
"Yeah... That would be handy." Eren muttered and unzipped a pocket of his jacket, revealing a pen. He handed the pen to Armin, and kept his hand in the same position as it was before.
Armin slowly began to write his number on Eren's hand. His writing was extremely neat, as the pen swirled around in his fingers.
"There you go!" He exclaimed and smiked one last time.
"Thanks... Thanks alot!" Eren began. "Now, i have to get going..." He said and waved at Armin in a friendly manner. "I'll text you later, goodbye!" He said, and began charging down the road, back to his house.

Armin was still a little shocked as he stood in the middle of the street like a smiling idiot. Could he finally have friends?
