She knew he was too good for her. She didn't even know why he was willing to be friends with her. But every single day, just the mere sight of him made her giddy with happiness. Every time he smiled, talked, anything that he did made her heart beat faster and her face go red. She had it bad.
Imagine her grief when she found out that he had found the love of his life, his breath, his life. She congratulated him when he told her that they were officially am item now, and smiled when she was introduced to her. But it was fake. She didn't hate his newfound girlfriend. Heck, she knew they were perfect for each other, but her heart hurt. It hurt her so much.
That night, when she was crying herself to sleep, her chest felt clogged, like there was something stuck in her lungs. She coughed, trying to dislodge that item. She needed to breathe. She was suffocating, both from her grief and the unknown item blocking her throat. Finally, it came out. She panted heavily, trying to regain her breath. She squinted against the dark, trying to make out that object that she just coughed out. And she could barely make out a a deep red rose petal.
