"Fucking move" Angel-Rose Leinani snarled as she pushed her way out of Mrs. Stratton English Classroom.
Shouldering her way through the crowd of Highschool kids, her best friends, Lila and Kieran loitering outside, waiting for their friend. The two shared a knowing look before Kieran spoke. "So I'm guessing English class with Ratton went well? " Kieran teased as they made their way around the school. "You saying Scraggums class was any better?" Angel shot back, Kieran huffed and rolled her eyes. "If she says the 'n' word one more time, I swear I'm going to throw a chair at that bitch." She didn't hide her disgust. As the three girls made their way through the school courtyard, their direction towards whatever space they could occupy where no one would bother them; Kieran continued to rant. "She never answers me, or any of the other Pasifika kids !! She uses racial slurs openly and then tries to justify herself all in the same breath and she gives out bullshit punishments to us for NOTHING!! I hate the stupid bitch."

Lila put an arm around her friends shoulder "hey, the good news is you have to put up with her and we don't!" She and Angel howled in laughter as Kieran punched them both in their shoulders. "Fuck up" she grumbled, her anger slowly rising. "Yea Lila, it's not like Kieran has to deal with Scragg every week for the rest of the year.... Oh, wait" A yelp of laughter erupted once again between Angel and Lila. "You ugly fucks are going to hell" Kieran snapped, Angel shot her cousin a smirk, waving her off. "Please, I'm already half way there."

"This is the fifth time this week he's said he loved me, does this officially count as cheating?" Kieran sighed, eyes shooting up from her phone screen, to her laptop. "I swear, he needs to make up his mind about who he likes because this isn't a game." Lila groaned, taking a sip from her glass. "Who the fuck are we talking about?" Angel pipes up, attention have been strayed long from the conversation. "Leo, he keeps saying he loves me but then he goes running back to Kiana" Kieran explains, locking her phone and throwing it across the bed. "Hate to say it babes but if you're his second choice now, you're always gonna be his second choice. A fallback he knows he can go to, yknow? You're too good for that and if he isnt gonna change, then you need to look for better babes." Angel shrugged, turning her face every direction to make sure her work was right.

Lila cheered in agreement to Angel's comment. "I say 'amen' to that one, use your words, girl!!" she exclaimed before a loud gasp was heard from Kieran's side. "Oh my god, listen to this, he said: "I do love you, I don't lie about that, and I do wanna be with you, its just Kiana had to move into her nan's house and then she was saying I couldn't be over there anymore, blah blah blah, Kiana said we never broke up, blah blah blah, meet me by the Turf tomorrow at morning tea." Kieran was done, she could feel tears Beggining to rise and a lump forming in her throat. She rubbed her eyes and swallowed hard, forcing herself to push her emotions down. "Why do I even bother with boys? All they do is fuck me over" Lila clicked her tongue, "Because they're scared of you, you're one of the baddest bitches in school, who wouldn't be scared to approach you?" Kieran rolled her eyes. "Leo, apparently, God, I feel like I'm not good enough for anyone!" Lila shook her head "You're good enough for us, we're family and you belong here just as much as we do." Angel hummed in agreement, shooting Kieran a comforting smile. Kieran smiled back at the two girls. "What the fuck would I do without you guys, honestly." Her voice broke at the end of her sentance, quickly Angel joked "Honestly, probably become the kingpin of a drug trafficking ring." A small chuckle left Kierans lips "Damn, then what am I doing sticking around with you, losers?" As Angel and Lila protested and laughed, Angel's phone then buzzed with a message from her dad:

'Dinner's ready, come out from your cave and eat' Angel smacked her teeth before turning her attention to her best friends once more. "I gotta go guys, I'm being summoned to dinner" she stood and said her goodbyes before ending the call and heading downstairs.

"Here's yours" Angel grabbed her plate of food and sat down at the dinner table while the rest of her family watched television in the living room. She put her headphones in and began to watch a recent video from her favourite youtuber 'Markiplier'.

Usually his crazy antics and silly jokes made Angel laugh but tonight he wasn't helping. She just couldn't find herself to smile, her home depressed her. She felt invisible. Practically a ghost. With dad at work almost Twenty Four Seven and her mum too busy with the babies and rehearsal, Angel could do anything she wanted and no one would care. She had scoffed down her food before Mark could even begin to explain the recent gameplay he was playing. She put her phone away, her plate in the dishwasher and made her way back to her room. Taking one last look in the mirror, she muttered a quick prayer before grabbing her duffel bag for work.

"Ooh, make way for Mr. Victor Young" Angel beamed as her work mother ran over and hugged her tight. "Fuck me, it's so packed tonight! " Angel exclaimed, pulling away and swinging her bag to the floor before sitting down at her dressing table. "Mhm, I think it's a hens party or something" Angel began to touch up her make up. "So whats the tea, girl?" Asked a curious Viola, face glowing with adrenaline and curiosity. Angel sighed and stood to strip herself of her everyday clothes, back turned as she spoke. "Lila's going away for a taikwondo tournament, Kieran is still having guy troubles-" Vi scoffed. "She doesn't need to focus on boys like that. Focus on being able to rely on yourself first, then you can worry about all that other stuff." Angel agreed as she pulled and struggled into her outfit, Viola coming to the young girls aid, offering a helpful hand. "How's home?" Vi continued. "I think I saw my family for a total of-" Angel paused to count her fingers "- like five times this week?" Viola tisked and wrapped Angel in a strong hug, kissing the top of her head. Kingston, another performer Angel had been working with, stepped in, informing the girl of her ten minute mark. He left quicker than he came in.

Angel quickly added the finishing touches to her outfit, stepping back to get a full look at the finished project. "Alright?" she turned to Vi who beamed with pride.
"Handsome, as always my son, I'll be waiting on the wings, Break their fucking legs, baby." She kissed a giggling Angel on both cheeks before stepping out. Angel watched as Viola floated out the door.
She took one last quick check of her messages. Nothing. She was still a nobody. As usual.
