Dear diary,
This is the first page of the new diary my parents brought me. The outer covering is laced with purple fabric and stitched with beautiful pictures of seashells. My mother made it for me when I was little but I never had the chance to use it because it was always so preoccupied with school. Some people call me a nerd because I enjoy school and I'm always the only one getting high grades in school, unlike my big brother whose main focus is on video games. Right after our dad died he stays in his room playing video games and talking to his friends on Xbox but I can honestly say that right after Halo 4 came out he's been addicted to playing the game. Donnie is only 23 and unemployed but he's very smart. I guess that's where I get my nerdy-ness from. Me, however, I just enjoy studying and hopefully one day I'll be a Tree Surgeon in the City of Los Angeles. I'm in high school but I plan on doing my best to do what it is to show my true potential. My mom has always told me to "follow my dreams because they'll take you far" and I've taken it to my heart and soul and even to my grave.
