After the war, the eighth years were quiet.
The Slytherins stopped fighting as hard, the Gryffindors lost their spark, the Ravenclaws only focused on school and nothing else. Even the Hufflepuffs were having a hard time lifting spirits.
Things were different now. Draco Malfoy was seen as a traitor and a coward for something forced upon him, and Harry Potter became just another face in the crowd after he quit doing interesting things such as killing Voldemort and being the hero he never wanted to be.
The Weasley family decided to move away, to start over. They had offered Harry and Hermione to come along; they were a part of the family after all, but the two decided that they should finish school and explore more of the world as they were not in much danger anymore.
It was quite odd not having Ron by their side for eighth year. Draco and his friends, Pansy and Blaise, hadn't bothered them anymore either. It seemed as if those in who came back didn't return quite as themselves.
Harry had a numb feeling during these times. He had nothing to worry about, but he somehow couldn't focus on his studies. Hermione had told him it was probably survivor guilt.
The two had drifted apart for a period of time, not intentionally of course, but Harry pushed almost everybody away.
The other eighth years kept their distance after Harry snapped at a couple. Hermione tried endless times to try to help Harry, but no anvil. He was failing his classes and wouldn't accept his friend's offers to help him.
Harry was forgetting to eat aswell. Slowly getting thinner, but eating before he starves. Draco Malfoy was the first to notice, and he was the first to confront Harry about it. Draco would often pull Harry into empty classrooms, not caring about who seen them, to make sure he ate something.
This became a regular occurrence, and Harry began gaining his weight back after a few weeks. There were rumours about them, but Harry couldn't bring himself to try to stop them. One might say he even wished they were true.
A/N-I wrote this a while ago and haven't bothered to publish it, but I decided to continue it for fun even if the time I started the fiction wasn't a very good time for me.
If you guys like how this story is going so far, comment what you like.
If you don't, comment what you don't like. Simple as that.
It's obviously a tad gay so if you're not cool with it that's fine, it's just a heads up for the upcoming chapters.
