(Oh my goodness, I LOVE his reprise of this song so much!!!!!)

Once upon a time, a long time ago, there lived a beautiful princess.

Though she was fair on the outside, she was mean, course, and unrefined within, having a heart of stone.

One bitter night, there was a blizzard raging throughout the land.

During the late evening, a knock sounded on the dark oak doors that echoed throughout the castle's marble stairways and halls.

The princess was passing by when the knock was heard, so she opened the door to see an elderly beggar man wearing nothing but rags and a tattered long-tailed coat.

"Y-Your majesty," Cloud dripped from his lips and spiraled around his cheeks, "Please, may I stay here for the night? This blizzard, it's like none I've ever seen before."

Princess Adella sniffed and glared at the man, "What shall I obtain in return? You must not think that royalty simply skip around urging all beggars to slumber within their home without payment."

He put a hand within a pocket close to his chest and pulled out a beautiful rose. The beggar held it out to her, "Please, miss," his voice became desperate, "This is all I have."

She snorted, swatting him away, "That will not do. What importance would that rose be to me?"

His eyes became grave, "Do not let appearance deceive you, your majesty-"

"You are not staying here."

"Miss-"

"Leave. If that is the payment, then you shall freeze in the night air. I will not take you in."

The man sighed and closed his eyes, "I have tried to warn you..." His facade slowly melted away into an attractive young man with raven black hair and stunningly emerald eyes. He had a slender, yet muscular and tall frame, towering over the princess.

Her eyes widened and she immediately fell to her knees and began to beg him for forgiveness, knowing that this was surely the sorcerer that the kingdoms feared.

"There is no love in your heart, Princess Adella. And because of this, you, your home, and your staff shall be put under a curse. If someone can learn to love you before this rose's last petal falls, then the spell will be broken. If not, you shall be doomed to remain a beast for all time." He raised his scepter and pointed the tip towards the princess as her body started to grotesquely shift and the spell took effect.
