Power Rangers : It's Morphin Time, Book Edition

"Home" of The Power Rangers.. High School

Even if you have not seen the movie yet, this book can still be fun to read, as I change stuff around; it's fan fiction! So if you have not seen the movie, don't worry. If you have though, you'll recognize some things and whether or not they changed.. Either way, please enjoy this book!!) 

(I'm starting at the first scene in the movie, when they are at the high school type of class.. at this point in the story, I am choosing for them to have already known each other.. they don't know each other well, but they do know them well enough to know that Jason is not happy.. even if you have not seen the movie yet, this book can still be fun to read, as I change stuff around; it's fan fiction!  So I hope you all enjoy!!) 

"Jason." 

 He looks up. It's Zack. The troublemaker.  

"What are you doing?" Trini's with him. Mysterious girl. Crazy girl, as Zack calls her. 

"Oh, hey," Jason says, barely paying attention to them. He's immersed in his reading of a newspaper and doesn't want to listen to them.They haven't talked to me all year, he thinks. so, what, now they're suddenly interested in me since I'm reading a newspaper with my name?  he rolls his eyes. 

Yes, let me say that again.. JASON is reading a NEWSPAPER. Crazy, right? So old fashioned. Just kidding, I love newspapers :) 

"Jace, what's up? You look, kind of, um,  worried." Billy says, gesturing at the unhappy face that Jason has plastered on. 

Kimberly stands next to  him.

"Nothing." Jason responds, and shoves the paper down in his pocket. He's not quick enough though, as Kimberly swiftly takes it out of his hands, her own hands only slightly brushing against his arm for a millisecond. 

It's long enough though for Jason to flinch.  

They all crowd around Kimberly. Jason backs away, as they start to read the newspaper headline.

Jason is in trouble.

They know, as soon as the read they headline. 

One by one, they look up at him, with confusion. 

"Jason?" Kimberly says. 

He grimaces.

"I'm fine," he manages to announce, with fake enthusiasm. "Never been better, yup, like a cherry on whipped cream, like -"

"Jason, you always put on this cool guy attitude, thinking everything will be alright. This articles proves that it's not all alright." 

"What? The article isn't even true. It doesn't say what happens! It doesn't say what happened to my career. It doesn't even spell my name right!! I don't need to tell you. I don't need to tell you anything!!" 

"Jason, we may not now you very well, but we're here for you." Zack says. 

Jason is surprised.

"Yeah, me especially, since I just got majorly friend dumped." Kimberly says.

"What happened?" Zack asks.

She doesn't answer himm.

Trini looks at Kimberly. She looks at Jason. And she walks away.

"Trini, where are you going?" Zack asks. 

She yells, "Out of here. I can't talk to Jason if he did this."

"But he already said it's not true." Kimberly says, feeling a personal connection to the topic.

She stops for a second, but then keep going. "Whatever," Trini says. "I need to go to the *mines now anyway. I'm late for my shift."

(*mines - when I say this, I just mean the place where they discovered the Power Rangers in the first scene of the movie. You know, where they all discovered they were Power Rangers at, where they found the coins. If you have not seen the movie, no worries! Just picture.. a sort of a desert location.. ) 

"What? You don't even work there...... do you??" Zack says. But it's too late. She's already going there. For all they know, she could be on some top secret spy mission. After all, she had given them all quite the cold shoulder earlier today..

Check back tomorrow to see what the newspaper headline said about Jason!! Will they go to the mine to see what Trini is up to? Will things go how they did according to the movie? Will things stay the same or change drastically? Figure out tomorrow!!
