AJ's POV:
I woke up the next morning and my head was pounding again. I didn't want to get out of bed but I knew I had to. When I sat up I felt a little light headed but then it cleared after a couple of seconds. Once I got fully out of bed I took a nice long hot shower which somewhat helped with the headache. When I was done getting ready I went downstairs and saw everybody eating breakfast, which consisted of waffles and eggs.
"Good morning." I said even though I didn't really feel like talking because of my head. I grabbed a waffle and sat at the kitchen table with the rest.
"AJ I need to tell you something." Mom said then everybody including myself looked at her.
"I got a call this morning, Cara is being let out of jail because she claims that John forced her to hurt you, Brandon and Noah. They also have evidence of unhealed injuries that they are classifying as abuse." Mom told me.
"So what does that mean?" Meg asked while still trying to wrap her head around the whole thing.
"There is evidence that Cara was under duress to which made her hurt AJ, Noah and Brandon." Dad answered while mom just looked at me with her 'I'm sorry' face.
I didn't say anything, I just sat there and thought the whole time. Did John force her to hurt me, Noah and Brandon?
A little while after breakfast when the others had already gone to school and work I decided to go on a run to clear my head. I wish I could go back to school so it could distract me from all this but the doctor's think it's best for me to wait until my head heals up. I was jogging down the road when I sensed that somebody was following me. I turned around and saw this black SUV driving about ten yards behind me. When I turned back around I immediately just darted down the road. While running I managed to get my phone out of my pocket and dial mom's number. But before I could hit call I came to the end of the sidewalk and then the SUV pulled in front of me and cut me off. I quickly did a u-turn and started running the other way. Before I could get far somebody tackled me. I tried to hit call but the phone was taken out of my hands and smashed on the ground. My hands were grabbed and put behind my back, then somebody pulled me into a standing position.
"I have to admit you are a very fast runner." A man said while coming in front of me. I didn't respond.
"Put her in the car." The same man told the guy holding my hands behind my back. Then the man holding me turned me around and brought me to the black SUV. He opened the door but before he could put me inside the car a voice rang out behind us.
"Let her go." The voice said, it was a very familiar female voice but I couldn't make out who it was.
Before I could turn around to see who it was the man holding my hands took out a gun and hit me in the head with it. I fell to the ground, my vision was blurry but I managed to get back up to my feet. I heard yelling and what sounded like fighting. I was then grabbed by my arm and dragged to the passenger seat of the car.
"Get in." The same man from before said. I then elbowed him in the face. He stumbled back but caught himself, he then came at me and shoved me against the car. He took out a knife and was bringing it up to my neck when I grabbed his hands and pushed it away from me. Then in one quick swoop he brought the knife down to my right leg and stabbed me in the leg.
I fell to the ground then he started hitting me in the face. After a couple hits I managed to push him back, I could feel blood running down from my nose, lip and eye. I got up and was heading towards the man who was surprisingly still on the ground considering it was just a hard enough push to get him off of me. Since I was limping because of the stab wound it gave him enough time to pull out a gun and shoot me in the shoulder and stomach. I fell back against the car. The man thought I was done since he shot me so he went to help his partner fight off the mysterious woman.
