Phil's POV:

The sun pierces through my curtains, waking me up to an unlikely sunny day in England. The time is 7:30 but I can't get back to sleep after I realised what happened yesterday. Crap.

I sluggishly peel of my covers and act like nothing happened but I can't shake the memories which will haunt me over and over again. Every time I blink the whole world pauses as my brain reenacts what happened the night before.

I need something to eat.

I get up carefully and silently trying not to wake Dan up as I walk down the stairs into our kitchen but there I see him in front of me already up and eating his cereal at the bar stool.

"So you're up then?" I only just about manage getting the words out as he chews his last spoonful of cereal.

"Yeah.. I couldn't sleep" He replies, following with an awkward silence between us. I glance over at the coffee table in the other room and notice an almost finished bottle of vodka. I can't help but wonder how we can still be friends at this rate and I just want to crawl in a hole and fade away. Normally it would be Dan saying that type of thing...

Lost in my own thought, I barely noticed Dan announcing that he was going to get dressed until he walks past me and starts on the stairs.

"Oh.. Yeah. Sure." I mumble, stuttering as I make my way over to the cereal and pour myself some with just enough milk left for me. Why did I say those things yesterday? Things were already slightly awkward between us and now...

I choke back the tears which are blinding my eyes and just try to focus on eating.

I'm such an idiot.

A/N: Because this is the first chapter it's quite a bit shorter, other chapters will probably be twice the length! X
