Last time on AFL...
You keep taking from me, and I'm still willing to share
it all, but what the hell does that leave me with?
"What time is your appointment today, Lee?" Jada
asked, as he got dressed. I was still laying in bed trying to
sleep, but he was making it almost impossible with all the
noise and moving around that he was doing.
"At 3... now can you be quiet?" I huffed, it seemed
like every Wednesday when I didn't have classes, he was
extra loud in the mornings.
Me asking him to be quiet didn't do anything but
make him become even louder it seemed. So I threw the
covers from off of me, sucking my teeth loudly in the
process.
"Annoying ass!" I said, getting up out of the bed
and making my way to the bathroom to handle my morning
hygiene.
"I love you too," Jada shouted out behind me,
laughing at my tantrum. I ignored him and continued
making my way to the bathroom.
When I finished, Jada was already gone for class.
Thank God I had no classes today, but even if I had, I
wasn't planning on going. Today, I had an appointment to
check on my baby girl, Jay'Lee, and I was more than
excited. I was seven months pregnant now and counting
down the days until my baby shower and due date. Jada and
I had paid for another 3D sonogram picture, because I was
obsessed with Jay already. She looked like the perfect
blend between Jada and I.Being that Jada had me awake already, I decided to
go and pick up some stuff from Babies R' Us, that I knew
we would need when Jay'Lee got here. Even though the
baby shower was coming up in another two weeks, I knew
that people would buy whatever was cheap. So I would get
Jay'Lee what I wanted her to have. After spending an hour
in there and well over four hundred dollars, I went and got
me something to eat from Subways. Midway through my
meal, my phone was buzzing with a text message from
Jada.
Forever: Hey baby, haven't heard from you all day.
Hope my girls are alright... I'll be leaving school in a few
