The last couple months of school our band went through a crisis: we had a tornado tear off the roof of the band room (plus the gym and auditorium but who cares about that) and destroy over 30 of the instruments owned by the school. We had to use money out of the music budget to buy new ones which meant we couldn't go to our normal place for camp. We found another place to go, but there were a few things we found different. The food we got was worse, the dorm rooms were worse, and, what the kids worried about the most since we spend 10+ hours a day practicing, there were no bathrooms by the practice field.
Nonetheless we went to our new band camp hoping for the best. We eventually adapted to the food, accepted the poor plumbing, and found out that there was a porta-potty by the field.
