chapter one: 14 at last

Rin's POV
This morning i got up at the same time as Len and as we got up we said "happy birthday" to each other in unison. I jumped out of bed and walked to the bathroom to take a shower then i got dressed. As I walk to my bed to retrieve my favorite hair bow, I notice a small gift from Len on my bed. I start to feel bad because I didn't get him a gift. I open the box to find a small photo album filled with pictures of me and Len from when we were 7 year olds to now, I smile as I flip through the pages. Oh what would I do without him. I carefully place it on my desk. Then, Len peeked out of the bathroom and looked straight at me.

Len's POV
I peek out of the bathroom to see Rin has opened my gift. "Do you like it?" I ask, "No,I love it!" she responded happily; I grin at her. Then, I stepped​ out of the bathroom. "Ready to go?" she asks as she slipped on her shoe and stands up across from me, her face seems like it has a permanent smile spread across it."yup!" I say, grinning at her. Rin eats her orange and I chomp on my precious banana as we walk to school. We ran into Luka (literally). She asks to walk with us and without hesitation Rin invites her. Luka eventually remembered the date and she wishes us a happy birthday. When we arrive at school Luka announces that she has to leave, but we do find Miku, who (of course) gives us both leeks. "Typical Miku" I wisper to Rin after Miku left to go to her class, she found my joke extremely amusing so she giggled loudly in the middle of the class. The teacher and everyone else were looking so she immediately stopped, curled up in a ball and rocked back and forth

Miku's POV
For Rin and Len's birthday I gave them both leeks, they loved them! At least I think they did. Anyway, I was trying to pay attention in class but my teacher was mind dullingly boring, he was like "blah blah algebra blah blah decimals blah blah Hatsune Miku!" I perked up in My desk "yes"I said half heartedly all the class is laughing at me. "What is the answer?". "The answer to life the universe and everything is 42!" I said that because that's what Luka told me in 2nd grade. She had said that the smartest computer in the universe had said that. I always looked to Luka for the answers so I decided to use that, it sounded incrediblely smart and official. Before he could yell at me, my favorite subject saved me: Music. I loved music with every bone in my body. Especially when it saved me from math class. Ever since we started our band "Vocaloids" our music teacher would always ask us to dance, or play instrument. I loved this but Rin was nervous to preform in front of people she doesn't know or trust. Then, it was lunchtime!

Luka's POV
The bell rings for lunch and I bolt down the empty halls that are short cuts I know well. Only to find Meiko and Kaito already at our table; I sat across from Meiko and eagerly greet them as I pull out my delitious tuna sandwich. Then, Rin and Miku walk in; both looking quite worried."What happened?" I ask solomly. "We don't know where Len is, we looked everywhere but he's not here and he won't answer his phone at all." Rin said urgently as she stabbed at her phone trying to get a hold of him."Maybe if we go look for him together,10 eyes are better than 4 anyway."
