Dear Sydney,

    You're right, this is totally weird. I just wrote "Dear Sydney" for the first time in two years. I guess I was really starting to take the fact that you slept three buildings away for granted. I was always told not to take things for granted, and there I was taking that for granted. It must have been karma that you left, because otherwise why would you have? Except that you're super talented and all that. But I still think karma had a little something to do with it.

    Well, would you look at that. Two years without writing and yet I still manage to ramble uncontrollably just like this was high school.

    To start off with, your roommate sounds like a quack. I would be careful about what you say around her, since someone knowing about events in your life that occurred three years ago is the weirdest thing I've ever heard. And I used to live with Aria.

    Also, you probably saw online, but Britt and Dan are engaged. I mean, I knew it would happen since I've been the one planning the proposal with Dan for months now, but it's still exciting for them. I honestly can't believe that we're at an age where we have friends that are getting engaged. I thought we were supposed to stay in high school forever. When did we even get old enough to be in college?

    And also, Sydney Porter I swear to you if you do not tell your parents then I will. They need to know what's going on with their daughter! I would be worried sick if I didn't know where you were, and I'm not even related to you. What if they realize that their tuition payments aren't going through? You can't delay those emails forever, they're going to see that they have more money in their savings than they should.

    Please just tell them. I'll do it with you if it would make it easier.

    When is your orchestra audition? I'm assuming that it's coming up quickly, otherwise you could have stayed in Virginia for a bit longer. And speaking of staying in Virginia, Katie is an absolute mess without you. And I'm pretty sure that the fact that she moved in with Britt and Mel isn't helping. You two worked well as roommates, but you already know how much the three of them bicker when we're all hanging out. I think that living together hasn't been the best idea.

    But I guess Britt will be out of there soon enough!

    I miss you like crazy Syd, and I can't wait to see you. Please don't forget about me while you're living your dream. I'm so insanely proud of you and want you to succeed in everything you do! I love you so much and hope I can make a trip up there soon.

Hopefully the author's notes in this book will be much shorter than in Dear Sydney.

But, just so you all know, updates will most likely occur every Sunday and Wednesday from now on, just like in Dear Sydney! And also, there will be a video accompanying every chapter, so make sure to watch those for an extra little social media experience!

I hope you guys liked the first two chapters, and the rest will be uploaded one at a time. I just wanted these two up to start the story off right!
