The end of summer, both of you hugging eachother. Both say goodbye, you knew that you had to leave and you didn't want a long distance relationship. Both of you in eachothers arms. You both lied on the couch that was in your basement and cuddled, watching movies and enjoying eachothers warmth for the last time.
"You know I'll never forget you right? I'll never forget this."
You smile and cuddle more into his side.
"I won't forget you either, how could I forget someone so unforgettable. "
He chuckles and squeezes you, you both lay silently watching the movie. You both said you would keep in contact and you did for around the first year. Later you both ended up talking less and less. You had gone to study and major in music and performing arts.
Three years past and you made money by going to bars and singing. Now you were just getting started with your career, you had to have a good job and that was as a bartender in the bar you played most nights.
But one night, one night could make you remember the unforgettable. You stood cleaning the counter and waiting till drunk men tried to hit on you to get drinks, sometimes even woman. You were one of the greatest at the place and you had been hired over two years ago, softly had more experience.
Mark, the owner allowed you to play some songs after your shift. Your shift usually began at 3 p.m and ended at 11:30 p.m and you would perform and hour or two depending the night.
You would always watch as people came in and sat at the booths and tables and laughed with their friends. One night though, two guys came in. One of those two happened to be the man you thought was unforgettable. Anthony Ramos and a friend you guessed. You were so shocked, you kept working. It was 11:00 and his friend walked up to the counter and asked for some beer. You served him the beer and signed something on the napkin. Quickly with out him noticing, you wrote in small letters "unforgettable" . You smile at the man and saw him return to the table. You tried not to watch their table and kept working.

James and I walk into this bar and I decide that he should order the drinks and pay and I would choose the table. When James came back he winked at me and said "I think I got the bartenders number." I smile and wiggle my eyebrows at him. He smirks and says "I bet you can't do it." I never back down from a bet, I smile and take a sip from my beer. "You probably didn't get her number."
"Well she wrote something done on the napkin, I haven't looked at it yet." He shrugs, "but I could get her number if I tried." I scoffed "is she even cute James?"
"Really pretty."
I turn around towards the bar. I almost stopped breathing when I saw Y/N.
"It's the one with the h/c hair."
I nod my head still not believing it was her.
"Bet I can get her number."
"What did she write on the napkin?"
"Um... Lets see..... What? It says unforgettable?"
I felt my face turn pale, I had missed her so much. We had lost contact sadly, but I still loved her after all these years.
"Dude you look like you've seen a ghost"
I turn towards the bar again and try looking for her. It's already 11:30, I assumed her shift had finished or she was taking a break. Soon the stage was lit up and had instruments out for someone to sing.
*Y/N P.O.V*
I tell the musicians to play a familiar tune. The song starts and I swing to the music and begin to sing.
Unforgettable, that's what you are
Unforgettable though near or far
Like a song of love that clings to me
How the thought of you does things to me
Never before has someone been more
Unforgettable in every way
And forever more, that's how you'll stay
That's why, darling, it's incredible
That someone so unforgettable
Thinks that I am unforgettable too
Unforgettable in every way
And forever more, that's how you'll stay
That's why, darling, it's incredible
That someone so unforgettable
Thinks that I am unforgettable too
I finish the song and smile, I hear most people cheer and I tell them to request songs. I finish at 2 a.m. I guy ready leave and I grab my coat. The entire night I felt Anthony's eyes on me but I didn't dare stare in his direction. Right before I walk out the door I hear my name. I turn around and immediately regret it. Anthony jogs up to me and smiles, he looks like he wanted to give me a hug but decided against it. I smile slightly, remembering the good times. We awkwardly stand there and stare at eachother but his the first to break the silence.
"How have you been?"
"Uh great great and you?"
"Pretty good."
It becomes awkwardly and painfully silent and I pray that someone could get me out of this. He breaks the silence again.
"I missed you, you know? I still thought about you even months after you were gone and then we lost communication and I thought, you were dead and your family never told me anything. An--"
"They never told you cause I told them not to tell you. I wanted you to keep living life and to forget about me so I told them not to say anything."
He looks at me and nods understandingly, "but why?"
"I just said why."
"No I meant.... Why did you not want us to keep talking? Like was I not good enough did you find someone else?"
"Anthony never say you weren't good enough! I just-- I just ---- I don't know! I was stupid and naive and stupid! I didn't know what I was doing! God Anthony I still love you and I never did or will find anyone better than you!"
He smiles and kisses me, his hand on my cheek wiping away a tear I didn't know escaped my eye, the other on my waist pulling me closer to him. My hands found its way to his neck like always. We both pull back for air. We both laugh and I lay my head on his chest.
"I have missed you so much, you are so unforgettable."
