Downstairs I open the stocked fridge and take out the makings for an omelette and fruit salad. I get the coffee started first then I start cooking the bacon and put it low. I break a few eggs to make one large omelette to share with my dad and I cut up some peppers and mushrooms to go in it. When it's been cooking a couple of minutes I add a little cheddar cheese and fold it in half and lower the heat and let it sit and cook while I start the fruit salad and flip the bacon.
Charlie comes down as I finish plating the food. "Smell good in here Bell's" He says and heads straight for the coffee. "Good timing Ch-Dad, it's all done." I say almost slipping and calling him Charlie. He doesn't saying anything about the slip just nods his respond.
"Do you want a cup ." He asks over his shoulder as I put the two small bowls of fruit salad on the table next to our plates of food. "That would be great, thanks."
We eat in comfortable silence and as we finish there is a knock on the door. "I'll get the door." I nod and pick up his dirty dishes and mine and bring them to the sink to wash.
"Hey Bell's, look who it is." He says excitedly making me turn to look at him as I have half of the dishes left to wash. Behind him comes man in a wheel chair that I instantly recognize as my dad's friend Billy Black. I rinse mine and and grab a towel and turn around, leaving the rest for later.
"You remember Billy Black and his son Jacob right?" Charlie asks and I nod. "Yeah, I remember, nice to see you again Billy." I politely say and he smiles and behind him Jacob comes through the door.
"It's good to see you too. Charlie couldn't wait to have you here." I look to my dad and see him looking down at his feet and it makes me curious what he told them. As if sensing the tension Jacob clears his throat.
"Hey, Bella. Remember me? We use to make mud pies together." I chuckle remembering and he smiles his boyish smile. "I remember." I answer him and that is followed by awkward silence until Charlie claps his hands together.
"Bell's why don't you put your shoes on and meet us outside, I have a surprise for you." I raise my eyebrow and shrug when all three of them have secret smiles. I run upstairs and grab my new black and white converse chucks from under the bed that are still in the box and I slip them on and tie them really quick. I feel a little excited when I go down the stairs and I don't know if it's from my new chucks or the surprise outside, regardless I hurry outside.
The moment I'm outside I see a old red truck parked behind Charlie's cruiser and Charlie and the Black's are right next to it. "Surprise." Charlie and Jacob say at the same time and Billy laughs at them in his wheelchair. Confused, I look around and Charlie pats the trucks hood loudly drawing my attention to it again. "I bought this truck off of Billy here for you." He says a little embarrassed and my eyes widen in surprise.
"Yeah and I totally rebuild the engine." Jacob says proudly and hasn't stopped smiling since I came outside.
"Wow. Thanks guys, I love it." I say looking it over. I'm not sure how old the truck is but at least I won't have to ride in Charlie's cruiser.
"See Charlie, told you she'd love it. I'm down-- with what the kids like." Billy says and I look at Charlie who's already looking at me and I give him a reassuring smile. "Uh huh." Charlie mumbles to Billy.
"Come on Bella I'll show you a few things." Jacob says and we get inside the truck where he shows me how to drive it and I quietly listen and I don't tell him I already know how to drive.
After Jacob showed me the truck they had to leave with promises to come back to watch game with Charlie on his flat screen. We went back inside and I finish the last of the dishes and he finishes getting ready and left me some money for school lunch, which I thought was nice. It saves me from going to the bank.
"I'm off now Bell's and I should be home by six. If you need anything at all just call me, all the numbers are up on the fridge." He already showed me the numbers the day I got here but, I nod anyways and he leave to go to work.
I tidy up a little and I mean a little, because Charlie doesn't have much of anything. I mean why would he, he's single and works all the time, he doesn't need for much. When I finish I go upstairs and grab a jacket and my backpack and head off to school.
Great! Just Great! I think to myself when I shut my new truck off, well, new to me anyways. I can't believe I have to discover that it back fires the first time I drive it. How embarrassing. "Why didn't anyone tell me that this beast back fires?" I say to myself sounding very frustrated.

Alice's POV
I watched as Rosalie goes inside the school. I knew this was going to happen and I'm glad Jasper held me back from making her stay. No matter, she'll see Bella at lunch if my vision doesn't change. I let out a sigh, thinking about what a long road it's going to be for those two.
Jasper rubs my back in soothing circles making me look at him. He knows about my vision since I shared it with him one afternoon when we were alone hunting and of course Edward knows since it often comes up in my mind. Rosalie deserves to be happy, that is if she can open her eyes and her heart. Jasper smiles at me, feeling the emotions run though me and he knows what I'm thinking since my emotions run usually the same when I think about Rosalie and Bella. He looks up and nods, which make me turn around and I make eye contact with Edward. I give him a shy smile knowing he heard the rambling in my head.
I get a vision of Edward telling me that Rosalie is stubborn and she will only do what she wants to do and that she'll figure things out even if it takes a little time. I nod when I come out of the vision and he smiles his signature crooked smile that makes the human girls swoon.
"She's here." I whisper for them to here and so that Rosalie can't hear. We all watch as Bella finds a parking spot and when she shuts the truck off there is a huge boom that comes from it. "Oh my, why didn't I see that." I say realizing I said it out loud and I put a hand over my mouth.
All around the parking lot the humans either scream being scared by the noise or laugh at the sound. "I bet that piece of junk is older than her dad." Emmett says and I bet he's right too.
"Why didn't anyone tell me that this beast back fires?" We hear from the inside of the truck and we all chuckle.
"That's weird?" Edward says getting all of our attention. "What is?" Jasper is the first to ask.
"She isn't thinking anything."
"She's feeling really embarrassed right now." Jasper says and Edward turns his head towards him.
"You can sense her emotions?" Jasper nods and they share a look.
After they look away from each other we hear her truck door open and she gets out and just like my vision she put her bag over her shoulder and her hair forms on both sides of her face like a shield.
"Huh." Comes from Jasper and I look at him, but he doesn't say anything, he just has his head tilted with a confused look on his face and all his focus is on Bella. I look towards Edward to see if he knows what's up with Jasper, but shrugs and mouths 'he's blocking me.' Hmm, I wonder what that's about. I'll have to ask Jasper about it later.
"Not even a minute and she's already made an impression on the humans. I'm curious how the rest of the day goes." Emmett says and it surprises me that he didn't say something, well, Emmett.
"Let's get to class." I say grabbing Jasper's hand and start walking to towards the school and Edward chuckles behind us, having heard my thoughts.
