A heavy and uncomfortable silence hung at the helicarrier's debriefing table, where all the Avengers currently sat shifting in their seat as they feel Percy's scrutinizing gaze.
Tony pov
Okay, normally I hack into S.H.I.E.L.D.'s mainframe and know what's going on, but there was nothing of use in there. Save for an his old rep sheet. Which I might add, has earned him some of my respect.
"Sooooo... What's the reason for dark and moody over their?" I ask Fury.
He turned to me and said with a sigh, "Do you remember when I brought up the subject of finding another member for the Avengers?" Fury asked.
"No not particularly." I reply
"Of course you don't Tony. You were probably dealing with a hangover." Natasha remarked
And just to annoy her I said,"You know it girl." In a bad mimic of a ditzy high school cheerleader.
Bruce and Steve were rolling g their eyes, while Clint kept his poker face on, but I could tell he wanted to bust out laughing.
I look to see dark and moody's reaction, but noticed him and Fury were in some kind of intimidation match.
Clint and Natasha started to shrink in there seat, and I realized why. The temperature in the room had dropped and an aura of power started to roll off dark and moody in gigantic waves.
Then the moment had arrived, the Nick Fury had to look away. That's when dark and moody spoke.
Percy pov
I turn to what will be my new team mates and sigh,"I will say this once and I will not repeat myself. What I'm about to say cannot and will not leave this room. I will not hesitate to end your existence should you decide to betray me."
I hear Tony remark,"Guess that means Natasha and Clint will go bye bye really soon being spies and all."
"As I just conversed with Nick-" "When' d you do that?" Steve asked.
"I mind spoke with him. Now as I was saying, I will tell you my background. As well as the Origins of my background."
I waited for any one to speak before I began,"Now you all know of Greek myths and legends, if not then tough do a self study. To make it short their all real, and I am or was a demi-god. A product of a god/goddess' affair with a mortal."
From there I explained from my first encounter with the furry to the showdown with evil mother earth.
Which only took about (looks at watch...) 8hours and the sun had long since set.
The first to regain composure was Fury, but he adopted a look of intense concentration. Like he was trying to digest all the information he just received.
Tony was the first to speak up,"If all you said is true than you...you blew up a volcano!"
"First off it wasn't on purpose, and second in my defense I had a bunch of Telkines throwing gods damned lava on me." I retort.
"I don't care about the small stuff, you blew up a volcano. You sir are one of my top roll models. Right up next to Hugh Hefner." Tony said, his voice full of awe.
Natasha rolled her eyes and said, "Tony no one wants to know who you you look up to, but that does explain your personality if Hefner is one of your roll models."
"I'm just glad that we have someone who could actually stop the Hulk." Bruce said happily.
"I think it's great to have another trained soldier. Greek or Roman it could be a valuable to have a variety of skills in battle." Steve said
"As long as he leaves shooting arrows to me, we'll be good." Clint said with a smirk.
"As you can see from his story, I was right in the team needing him was I not Director of Fury." Thor said smugly.
Fury sighed, "Yes Thor you were and he can join, now if you'll excuse me I have to deal with an annoying council."
"Do they argue about pointless subjects and almost always somehow never mention what needs to be done?" I ask.
Fury turned back and looked at me with exasperated eyes,"Have some experience with them before?" he asked
"No, but it's exactly how the Olympians run their council. So I feel your pain." I say and Thunder booms over head.
Everyone looks at Thor except me,"Nay twas not me my friends."
"He's right that was my stalker uncle." I say and Thunder booms again.
"Do they always listen in on people's conversations?" Tony asked.
"Only when their bored and want something to gossip about." I say with a laugh.
'Maybe it won't be so bad to work with these guys and um girl. Even if the fates ordered me to be here.' I thought to myself.
"So what now?" I ask.
Tony then shouts,"Pizza party at my tower on the Avenger floor!" With that said a mad scrambling ensued as everyone attempted to leave at once. I raised my eyebrow and vapor traveled to where I had seen the large tower before and sat down in the lounge to wait for all my team mates to arrive.
If you're wondering why I just sat in the lounge, the answer is simple. I have no Idea where to go in order to get to the Avenger floor. The other was I didn't feeling like popping up on every floor and set off the security system on that floor.
