Ever wonder what it is to live? To feel free? Kayla and I do. We've been running for our lives for the past few months. I managed to quickly finish my senior year of High school before the fall semester of College began. Rick and Martha have been extremely busy keeping my father and the other vampires off of our tracks, but how long can we actually hide from the vampires? We've given up on hunting anything in any forest we pass by which causes us to be weaker than normal. Fresh meat that hasn't been processed helps keep us strong, but we can't eat the fresh meat. We've been forced to settle with the processed meat in order to survive.

Currently, we're in Rick's black 2017 Avenge Charger. It's okay, but our luggage has taken up the trunk and most of the back seat. Kayla is driving currently with the radio on listening to Hollywood Undead. She reminds me a bit of Arthur except she's a girl who has golden locks of hair and blue eyes. Arthur had black hair and hazel eyes. He was a guy that was alive, but now he's dead and I blame myself for it. If I had let Zack kill me all that time ago, then Luke, Alex, Arthur, Logan, James, and Zack would still be alive and living happily. Zack's wife, Zila Prowler, was furious at me for killing Zack, my ex. She has her whole pack tracking our every move.

"April, are you still awake?" Kayla asked as she turned down the radio.

"Yeah. Want me to drive so you can rest?" I asked.

"Not yet. You need to rest though."

"Do you honestly think I can even sleep anymore? I've experienced too much to even sleep." I snapped.

Kayla pulled the car over and faced me with what I'd call her frustrated and annoyed face. The woods were close by and I couldn't help feeling that we were being watched by the Smoky Mountain and Florida Werewolf packs. We were in between their packs and we were trying to get to the college that Rick was sending us to. Who knew that my family was actually rich?

"I will not have you being sleep deprived, April. You're the leader of the Tiger-humans, so start acting like it." Kayla snapped.

I sat up straight as I caught a flash of ginger fur flash in the forest. They were on our tails. This was bad. If they've already found us, we needed to start moving again. Who knows how far behind the vampire are. I couldn't sleep when anxiety was controlling me anyway.

"Drive." I whispered not daring to look away.

I could feel my tiger side start being roused from months of slumber. It was like it was trying to get free. I reached into my black combat pants and pulled out my pills just as the ginger fur slammed into my door. I freaked out and dropped my pills as Kayla screamed. I turned to face her only to see her be dragged out of the car. Oh no. Now my tiger side was furious and able to be awoken from months of sleep. What were the werewolves' plans? To lead the vampire right to us? They sure did a damn good job at finding us that's for sure.

I reached into my pocket and grabbed my phone as I locked my door. No way in hell would I let them drag me out without coming through the driver's side. I turned my phone on and scrolled down the small list of contacts until I saw Rick's name. I went to click it as my door was ripped from its hinges and someone yanked my phone from my hand. I screamed as they dragged me from the car and pinned me against the back seat's door. The familiar smell filled my nostrils as the guy placed his hand over my mouth which earned a low growl from me.

"April, you can't call that damn vampire. He's not worth it anymore." A familiar voice spoke as my eyes adjusted to the brightly lit land.

Standing in front of me was a man I thought I'd never see again. His black hair and hazel eyes stood out. I felt tears prick my eyes as I stared at him. How was Arthur alive? Why didn't he come for me sooner? Is he going to stay?

"A-Arthur..." I mumbled behind his hand.
