Mia
I walked into the choosing room and sat on the wooden chair. I nervously wrapped my hands around two, metal electrocuters and waited for the torture to begin. I forced myself to think back to a few minutes ago when I was waiting in line behind my best friend Shawn. "Nervous?" asked Shawn turning around to face me.
"A little."
"You'll be fine Mia. After all, you are the best hunter in our town," said Shawn giving me a smirk.
"So? If I don't come out of the choosing room with a mark on my arm then I will die," I answered.
"Trust me. One of the elements will choose you," replied Shawn gripping my hand.
"Next!!" yelled the operator, and Shawn stepped into the choosing room after giving me a smirk.
"See you on the other side," Shawn said quietly, as the door closed behind him. I waited for a few minutes before hearing his scream pierce the air, which only made me more nervous. Then, it was my turn.
"3, 2, 1." Then I screamed as loud as I could as the painful waves of electricity shot into my body.
"Mia!" I opened my eyes to find myself face to face with Shawn. "It's over," he said as he showed me his right arm proudly as he pointed to a red colored dragon symbol.
"You got fire,"I said, smiling.
"What did you get?" asked Shawn tugging at my right arm. I lifted up my sleeve and I almost passed out from shock. My mark wasn't red, blue, green, or silver. My mark was a gold Griffin.
"Um, what does this mean?" I ask showing Shawn.
"I don't know. The common colors are red, blue, green, and silver. But more importantly, what does the color gold represent as an element?" Before I could answer, two men dragged Shawn and I onto a dragon.
"Where are we going?!" I yelled over the wind.
"To Emferia," replied one of the men.
