The bus picked me up at Stockton and Crossing at exactly 6:45. Just like the stupid schedule said. Of course the bus would be perfectly on time. It is the bus to Arleston Prep. The perfect school. With the perfect kids. Perfect staff. And perfect etiquette. The school my mom picked for me to go to. The school of most people's dreams. More like a nightmare.

I was now sitting at the back of the bus. It was half full at this point, every kid sitting with perfect manners waiting patiently for the bus to arrive at school perfectly on time in their perfect little uniforms.

To bad for them.

We passed the old, rusty broken down gas station that's probably been here since WWI. We took a sharp left and stopped at the light even though it was still yellow. Ugh. Why is everyone so perfect?

Two more minutes.

We passed by the local kindergarten and park. Parents were still pulling in to drop off their kids.

One more minute.

We were about to pull up on Ruffing High. The public school where all the normal people go. My plan was already in place all I needed to do was get the timing right.

1...2...3...Now!

"Mr.Arlo? I think there's a rat back here." I say making my voice squeak to seem as if I was scared. All the girls, and even some boys, within 5 seats of me screamed and dashed for the front. Mr.Arlo unaware of the true scene unfolding in the back of the bus hit his breaks. We slowly started come to a stop in front of Ruffing High.

I didn't even wait for the bus to stop as I threw my bag out the window into the lawn of Ruffing High as we came upon its campus. I squeezed my head through before my butt and legs. With one glance over my shoulder at all of the stupidly obnoxious perfect kids I jumped.

I maneuvered myself to the left so I didn't fall on my bag. As I came down I curled into a ball to lessen the impact. I summersaulted perfectly landing on my feet.

I brushed the dirt of myself and walked over to my bag with a careless demeanor. I noticed I had caught the attention of all the kids who had been in front of the school. Many kids stood with their mouths hanging open others had their phones out trying to capture a video of the crazy girl who just jumped out of a moving bus.

The bus finally came to a stop with a loud shrill of squeak. It was now 30 yards down the road. I watched as the bus doors opened as a very, very angry bus driver trudged over to me. I studied him as he made his stride over. He seemed to be in his forties. He had a bit of a belly, rounding him off. He wore pressed shirt and slacks. He seemed to be the epitome of a perfect bus driver, all etiquette. As he drew closer you could see his flaws, his shirt was wrinkled, his hairy was a bit messy, he had pit stains and his face was as red as a tomato. Probably all from having to get up off of his lazy ass.

"What were you thinking?" He said very loudly. Because Arleston Prep staff are to perfect to yell. Eye roll. "Were you even thinking?" He let out a loud huff as he came to a stop in front of me.

I just shrugged my shoulders not caring to answer the question. I was focusing more on the crowd. She should be here. "Did you hear me young lady?" I had heard every word just didn't think the question held enough importance to answer. Mr.Arlo didn't seem to like being ignored. "Young lady." The face I was looking for appeared in the crowd.

I started to move towards the crowd gathering, sidestepping the bus driver on my way. He didn't seemed to like being sidestepped plus ignored for a second time. He grabbed hold of my arm to stop me. "Sorry but did you say something?" I nonchalantly asked while rolling my head in his direction. I gave him a long hard glare. The glare saying get your fúcking hand off me. He dropped my arm instantly as if he was holding a snake. I didn't care what he thought as long as he let me go my while he went his.

I started to walk towards the crowds again not bothering to care about the shocked looks from the kids standing around me or the scared bus driver behind me. She stood less then ten feet ahead of me. I was almost there. I took the last step through the parting crowd till I was right in front of her.

"Erin?" She asked as if a unsure I was actually in front of her.

       "Yeah"
