Chapter 2

(Blaze P.O.V)

The lord said that he was going to bring in a girl that was very important to his plans.

I would never question his Lordship, but I wanted to know more, like if she was a werewolf.

She must be very important if she is going to be brought in front of the Lord.

I am pretty much his lords pet / bodyguard. Werewolf's were treated very badly in this mansion.

They take us when we are young and train us to obey them and they make some fight each other.

Some are there to breed and create more entertainment for the vampires.

They also use Werewolf's in the Lords army to help build up the strength of the army. The Lord has the strongest army but there is always someone who wants to challenge him.

I am newly turned 18 and have grown up in the mansion. The Lord has big plans for me but I don't know if I can live up to his expectations. I don't know if I can live up to my parents reputation,

There was a knock at Lords door. Emily walked in with the most beautiful girl I had ever seen. She has beautiful long blonde hair that was past her shoulders. She has sweet blue eyes,  I just couldn't take my eyes off her. I could feel my heart racing and I was aware that my jaw was hanging down. My wolf was going crazy at the sight of her, she gave me a quick smile and I gave her one back. She looked nervous but not afraid of being in the presence of the king.

She was not my mate, although because my wolf wasn't yelling out that she was. It made me sad that she wasn't, I could sense that she was a werewolf but not yet.

(Sophia's P.O.V)

After I noticed the powerful vampire in front of me I noticed a werewolf by his side. He had brown hair with brown eyes, but they were changing colour to a sort of purple colour. I knew that meant his mood had changed just from me entering the room. He was very handsome and looked just a bit older then I was. I would love to see what his wolf looked like.

When the head vampire said " You have grown up very well, Sophia". I just froze not knowing what to say, he had such a powerful presence.

So I just smiled and said "thank you", Emily elbowed me quiet hard and I added " my Lord" while bowing. This made the Lord smile at the respect that I was showing to him.

"Do you know why you are here?" I gulped and said "No my Lord, I don't". " You are here because you will get your powers as a werewolf soon".

This made me nervous about what he was going to do with me when I did get my powers. What would happen to me?

" I am yet to decide what your position shall be in this mansion, but it will be very important". I was taking in every thing he was saying and not liking all the unknowns that were ahead of me.

I looked back at the werewolf next to the vampire king, and he was just staring at me with his now purple eyes. I was trying to make sense of his stare that had me mesmerized.

"You have come from very good blood lines", I was honored by the kings words. Until he added "Just like your brother had proved to have been so useful". I immediately gave the king an evil look as if to say " What have you done with my brother". It has been so long since I have seen him. The king noticed how it made me feel and smirked at my reaction.

The door flung open behind me and a werewolf came barging in and went to attack the king. Within seconds the grey werewolf was stopped by Blaze who was the bigger wolf of the two. Blaze was black and his eyes were blue and stood out like a full moon at night. Blaze was growling at the other wolf and had him pinned down to the floor. They were wrestling and there was so much growling going on and then it stopped. The other werewolf gave up and just submitted to Blaze. After they had finished fighting the king smiled and got off his thrown, he went up to them and ordered the vampires to take him back to his cell.

After all that he got back on his thrown and Blaze stayed in his wolf form by his side. He praised Blaze for protecting him " You did well considering you haven't been by my side for long". Blaze looked so pleased at the job he had just done.

"Leave her here Emily, and get a servant to fetch some clothes for Blaze". I turned to Emily and she just nodded and tied my chains next to Blaze. I couldn't help but stare into his big blue eyes as he stared into mine. I felt relaxed having him next to me and I noticed the king was looking at us with a smile on his face. " Sophia, you will be one of my bodyguards". I was shocked and surprised at the fact that he even trusted me, but then I thought that if I tried to kill the king Blaze would probably kill me.

(Blazes P.O.V)

While I was sitting down staring at Sophia I felt another wolf coming then one came bursting in and at the king. I jumped at the grey wolf threatening the kings life and I attached him. I had the upper hand he was smaller then me and I used it to my advantage. I was stronger then him and bigger it didn't take him long to realize the mistake that he had just made. He submitted to me as soon as he realized his mistake and I felt proud that I had defended the king.

Some of the vampire slaves took him away and I went back to my place next to the king and enjoyed the praise that the king gave me.

The king sent Emily away and told her to get some clothes for me I was so proud and I looked at Sophia as Emily chained her next to me. Her eyes were staring at my eyes, I saw her eyes change into purple. I couldn't help but stair into them now that they had changed colour. I dont think she knew that they had changed colour but they were mesmerizing.

The king had no need for me and Sophia at the moment, so he sent us to his chambers to stay guard until he came for us. Another of his guards took over from me, and Sophia and I were lead to the kings chambers. I didn't want to change back to my human form with Sophia next to me, so I waited until she fell asleep. She looked so peaceful as she slept, it made me want to see what her wolf would look like. I waited for the king to come in before I fell asleep with Sophia next to me.

I woke up part way through my sleep because I heard a noise that made me go into protective mode. I noticed that it didn't even bother Sophia she was going to have to learn a lot just like I had to. I noticed that it was the king who had made the noise, he was now sitting at his desk instead of in his bed. Now that I was reassured that nothing was wrong I went up to the king to see what he was doing. I only took a couple of steps before he told me to go back to sleep. I didn't not dare to ask him what he was doing so I went back next to Sophia and fell fast asleep.

(Sophia's P.O.V)

I woke up the next morning to find Blaze no longer next to me, I looked around to find him but he wasn't there. There was a knock at the door and a werewolf servant entered and said that she had brought me breakfast. I tried to get up but realized that I was chained to the wall yet again. The girl werewolf informed me that Blaze would be in soon to see me and would be helping with my training. But not until his first priority was looked after and that was protecting his king.

It wasn't until after she left that I started to eat the eggs and bacon and toast that was left for me. I had grown up on bland food that had no taste so this was just like heaven. I hadn't had a breakfast like this since before I was brought here.

I felt so relaxed after I had my breakfast that I didn't even notice that the girl came back in to get my dishes. I was half asleep I was that relaxed, until Blaze came in and scared me and told me to get up.

I was scared more by his words that were " it's time to start your training", I'm sure he could see I wasn't happy that he had woken me from my lazy state.
