Perfection. A ten letter word that could do wonders on a person. Growing up dealing with the modeling world, first my mother and now me. It's something that has to be highly in my vocabulary. I have to push and work to be the best. No boys. No drama, unless needed for publicity. It was rules upon rules and they could drive a person crazy. But we all wanted to be the best and I couldn't help it. My mother decided to move us from New York City two days ago.
"LA will be so good for your reputation!" My mother, aka Beverly Marr, aka the biggest model of her time, told me while we were packing up the house. I rolled my eyes and packed up my clothes.
"Yeah okay mom. You say that wherever we move, I just would like to stay in one place for a day." I groaned sitting on the bed.
"Sweetie, this is for you. Everything your dad and I do is for you." She said with her artificial smile.
So fast forward to today. My parents are letting me have a week off from whatever, which I try not to slack too much because then I get the disappointment lecture. Mom will pull out the measuring tape and measure my waist, and see if my measurements have changed. So I'm currently walking around Hollywood Boulevard with nothing to do.
"Watch out!" Yelled at deep voice but yelled it very loudly. I turn around to see a guy on a longboard, I think, I couldn't really see what it was because I was knocked to the ground. It was one of those hits where you get hit by a person and the ground, when you struggle to breath since it was knocked out of you. The guy who ran into me fell straight right on top of me.
"Man, are you okay?!" Said another guy running up and helping the guy off of me.
"Yeah man I'm good!" He said looking at his friend, while I currently struggled to use my left arm to get up.
"Ow," I winced in pain as I put pressure on my left arm, I've never felt any pain like this ever, and I mean ever.
"Oh god!" The one guy who ran into me helped me up while I winced in pain.
"Where does it hurt?" He asked looking me in the eyes, while I balled my eyes out, yes I was crying and I'm a very ugly crier, very. He has very big dark brown eyes and he had dark hair but has blonde hair to it. He started to move around my arm and went he bent my elbow, I almost screamed.
"I think she broke it." He said looking at his friend.
"Broke what?" he said annoyed.
"Her elbow." He said kinda coldly.
"Alright we need to take her to the ER." He said looking at me and started to wipe my face. I noticed there was black stuff all over his fingers, which meant my makeup was getting everywhere. Oh god, the press will have a field day with this. I just hid my face by pulling down the dad cap I had on.
"Here, I'll take you to the ER." The one who fell on top of me said and jogged away to get his car. The other one stood at there looking at me, like he was confused looking at my face. Then his face lit up and his mouth dropped.
"You are, Payton," I covered his mouth with my right hand before he said anything more, I didn't want a big scene.
"Yeah, please don't say it." I said pulling my hand off of him and going back to holding my left arm. I winced a little as I moved it, it was just the most painful thing ever. Well until my mother was going to find out.
