Chapter 1 Starting School

~Starting School~

A blue dragon approached the school, with her white humanoid companion with a pink bow. The school was ginormous, easily larger than a college. Marble pillars supporting a large roof that shone like a diamond in the harsh fall sun. Sapphire looked at her nervous friend, clutching her notebook and papers.
"Are you sure this is the right school?" DeeMo asked with a concerned raise of an eyebrow. Sapphire smiled and nodded slightly.
"Of course I'm sure! It literally has the exact same picture in holding!" She says reassuringly, giving DeeMo a pat on the back.

DeeMo smiles, and follows the blue dragon inside. As they walk in, they were immediately greeted with the fresh scent of lemon, and the polished marble once again showed itself, lining the walls around the lockers. They only took a few steps before a large human sized Tanuki bumped into them.

The Tanuki quickly apologized before seeming to realize that DeeMo and Sapphire were new students.
"Ah! Hello there! You must be the new students I was told would join today! DeeMo and Sapphire correct?" The Tanuki quickly confirms. DeeMo and Sapphire glance at each other.
"Um... yes." DeeMo says quickly. The Tanuki grins.
"Good! Goodgoodgoodgood! Now come quickly! You are late for student initiation!" It says, thumping it fluffy tail on the ground. DeeMo and Sapphire briskly follow the Tanuki into a room only a few feet away. Immediately they notice just how large the classroom was. It was easily larger than a football field, and hundreds if not thousands of students were all sitting at their desks, all of them looking at DeeMo and Sapphire. DeeMo gulped, she did not like so many eyes watching her all at once. The Tanuki finally introduced itself, and bowed.
"My name is BlueBloodTanuki, but please, call me BBT. NOW!" The Tanuki clapped its hands, and made both friends jump.
"Let's get you both your desks." The Tanuki quickly opens a cabinet at the front of the room and pulls out two large desks, both of them clear as glass, aside from the legs, which were lined with zeros and ones, flashing quickly on the surface and and then flitting away to other places on the desk. Sapphire and DeeMo both sat down at their own desks, and the desks immediately pulled up a blank white screen on the surface, a small tool bar at the bottom. The Tanuki smiled again.
"Alright. Now that you have been seated... it's time for trial one." BBT was suddenly menacing for a small moment, and raised murmurs and whispering among the class. The Tanuki slammed its tail on the ground for silence. The class immediately quieted down, and watched as both friends began to draw. DeeMo could see the Sapphire was drawing a self portrait, and as far as she was, it looked good. DeeMo was going for a more nature themed piece, and was drawing a leaf, that had its reflection on the water with a water droplet dropping down. After a few more minutes of finger drawing, Sapphire stopped drawing and looked up at BBT.
"Okay I'm done!" She said proudly, showing off her humble self portrait. The Tamils gives Sapphire a worried/concerned look and picks up a microphone next to its tail.
"Desk 10108 A, Student completed trial 1. Initiate response." The students surrounding Sapphire immediately flinched and took cover under their desks, DeeMo barely had time to figure out was was happening before ducking for cover herself.
BA-BOOM!💥 Sapphires desk exploded into millions of tiny pieces, sending Sapphire flying through the school ceiling and roof. Shrapnel and crumbling brick rained down on the class as BBT brushed themselves off with their tail. DeeMo glanced worriedly at BBT as she said;
"I'm... finished..." DeeMo said with a worried gulp. BBT glanced at her work and smiled, giving a curt nod and picking up the microphone again.
