"Fuck." I say under my breath as I here disheveled footsteps stomping in my direction. I start to frantically search for my only gun in my backpack as I hear the footsteps get closer. Crap crap crap, I repeat in my head as sweat trickles down my face like a rainstorm. "Found it!" I shout stupidly, catching whatever that thing is attention. The footsteps grew louder as they got closer because that's how sound works. I jump up in hopes I have enough time to do something to prevent my face from getting ripped off. I begin to move in the direction of the exit of the alley Way, but a hand grips my arm and pulls me back. I look at the attacker and see a familiar face, "Jada?" I asked confused on how she survived, "(Y/N)?" She asks most likely as confused as me. "How'd you do it?" I ask her, like an annoying child. "We have to go, I saw two Java the huts back there." She says referring to the gushers, completely ignoring my question. "OK leggo." I say as I start running my still confused ass outta there.
"God, how many years has it been sense I've last seen you?" I ask Jada. "Let's see...5 years I think." Jada says. "Wow, so how'd ya do it?" I ask again. "Do what? Ohhhh, I don't know actually, I just saw a lot of light, also heard some screaming, like a lot of screaming, and next thing I know I'm outside my burning house." Jada says as she leans closer to the fire, she looks slightly dazed. "Ah." I say and lean back on my hands, scraping them slightly on the cold concrete.
After the whole alley thing we went to her "safe place," an old car dealer ship place. I look around and notice a couple band posters, "You're still into all those emo bands?" I ask jokingly, trying to lighten the mood. "Hm, oh, uh yeah I guess." She says not even looking up at me. "Hey, what's up with you?" I ask worried about her mental state. "What do you mean?" she asks confused. "You know what I mean, you're all, you know, bleh." I say. "I guess its just that I miss Kirra." She says sadly, looking at the wall. "Kirra? Ohhh Kirra, that Kirra, as in the Kirra that was Kirra." I say. "Yeah, that Kirra." She says looking back at me. "Welp, guess its time I turn in for the night." I say, standing up and stretching. "Night." Jada says, looking off.
Time skip to morning

I sit up and look around, the room is dark and covered in posters Jada most likely found in an abandoned Walmart. I slide out of my sleeping bag onto the cold concrete. I stiffen at the coldness on my rear. I stand and try to find my clothes, "Ah there you are." I say as I reach under a shelf to get my pants that had somehow slid under it. As I swing my hand around, trying to grab my pants, I feel the handle of something. I look under the shelf to see what it was, it looked like a fly swatter but it had something sticking out of it, I grab a hold of it and see that it is a fly swatter with thumb tacks sticking out of it, "Holy guacamole." I whisper. I wonder if she tortures people in here...Whatever.
"morning." I say to Jada with a small wave. "Hey." She says back as she hands me a cold waffle. I try to bite into the undercooked food item, but its hard as a brick, so I put it in my backpack just in case I need to hurt someone. "Hey, so last night I was thinking, and I'm pretty sure I know were Kirra is." She says casually. "How can you be so calm about this?" I ask surprised about her composer. "I wish I could freak out, but im pretty sure one of those things would hear me if I wasn't trying to be calm." She says. "Oh, yeah." I say. "So in about...20 minutes, we will be leaving." She says. I choke on air, twenty minutes, only twenty minutes?! "Get ready." Jada says as she disappears down the hallway like the badass she is.
