What is Unconditonal?

Candles in the night, it provides warmth,
To the soul that's freezing, yet looked so calm.
The pouring rain that soaked my skin,
Though it's cold, it hugged me from within.

To our beloved light, I am sorry I lied,
And believe me, every night I cried.
I chose the love that weakened your soul,
And it hurts me so bad, I am not whole.

Still, every day I look forward to the one I love,
Thinking, it is the greatest thing I ever had.
I hold on to what I thought was right,
Something that in my eyes looked so bright.

I am happy I made you love letters,
Though it's wrong, to you I surrender.
Sleepless nights while making you gifts.
Effort-wise, I hope you did catch my drift.

You took me to places I've never been before,
With joy in my heart, so high I can soar.
Surprises on random days gave me big smiles,
I'll be so sad if we get separated by miles.

But then time passed and you grew a little further,
I cried missing you but you responded with anger.
I cannot anymore be sure with the path I took,
Once again behind me, I tried to look.

There behind me the light I forgot to lit,
The one I used to long for when I'm feeling sick.
Waiting for me to wake up from a bizarre dream,
Why did I forget we used to be forever team?

The choice I made, it broke your heart for sure,
But you are still there, with your love for us so pure.
I regret the times I chose to be happier than you,
While you gave us nothing but a love so true.

Now, there are so many things I have missed,
Everytime I go & leave you with only a kiss.
What used to be a strong bond that will never break,
I hope and pray we can return to that for god's sake.

Now I'm awaken, I know my choices were wrong,
The love I thought was right didn't even last long.
But the light I turned off and I left behind,
When I looked back, it was still there ready to shine.

Tonight, I'll let my tears fall one last time,
And listened to music that to my heart rhymed.
I closed my eyes as my tears ran dry,
My heart is now whole with hopes so high.

I maybe alone but I'm never lonely,
I have people who loves me & makes me so happy.
From this day, I'll tear out the page where I met you,
And with the next chapter, I'll start brand new.
