He never thought that it will be this way. It's called falling in love, but he didn't know that it actually really feels like falling. His mind is filled with the memories of his smile, the colour of his eyes, every second they have spent together. And now everything is gone. He's left alone with the memories of him. Kyle. Just the thought of his name sends an unbearable pain through his body. Sometimes he wakes up in the middle of the night hoping he would lay next to him, pulling him closer and telling him that he should go back to sleep. But there isn't anybody. He would give everything just to feel his lips against his, running his hands through his curls one more time. Tasting the cigarette flavor on his tongue and the way Kyle smirked against his lips when he kissed him unexpectedly.
But he blew it and there is nothing else in the world he regrets more than letting him go. When they first met both didn't know that it will be this way. A fucking hurricane. Jason hated him from the first second. He stood there with a cigarette in his hand, wearing a leather jacket and boots like typical bad boys. Jason hates bad guys. They only bring trouble and heartbreaks. They fuck you hard and leave you sweating. But this one wasn't like all the guys he knew. He was complicated. A broken mess. Somebody who doesn't care anymore. He didn't crave attention and he didn't care about the people around him. The more they got to know each other the more they couldn't go without seeing each other. Jason could see who Kyle really was. His personality. His smile, which could light up the fucking world. He kind of became his obsession, but he loved it. The feeling of complete devotion. Having no control over what was happening. They could be screaming at each other and one second later he's pressed against the wall, kissed breathlessly until his brain is foggy and too distracted to keep on arguing.
He always knew how to distract him. Just with a look of his eyes or biting his lip and he was lost. He was gone on him. Sometimes he thought he couldn't handle his feelings for this boy. He was completely overwhelmed by the sensations. Waking up in the morning, their bodies entangled, the blanket on the floor because they only needed each other to keep warm, meant the world to him. All these little things he did for him, like remembering how he liked his coffee, asking him how his day was or just listening made him fall for him more and more every day. Kyle never seemed to see how special he is. He never seemed to recognize the way Jason looked at him. How much he liked him because of his intelligence and that he was completely different to all the other guys he knew.
When they first kissed it actually happened by accident. Jason dropped Kyle off at his apartment which he was sharing with his best friend Briana, a lively blue haired. They were sitting in his car, listening to the ending of a song Kyle liked. Jason went in for a hug, but Kyle turned his head in the wrong moment, confused what was about to happen, and one second later their lips were touching. It was hilarious. The awkward silence afterward and how Kyle ran out off his car, cheeks red and stumbling a quiet "bye". He has never seen him this way. Shy and reserved. Kyle is loud and mean. The kind of person which tells you what he's thinking also if you don't want to hear it. Seeing him this way did something to him. Jason couldn't help but run after him. Grab his hand and kiss him right.
The air was pulled out of his lungs as Kyle kissed him back. Every bit of shyness gone. His lips tingling he just wanted to get back into the car and sit on Kyle's lap. Doing things in the backseat of his car he'll never forget. He pulled away catching his breath because he felt like passing out. His eyes were still closed and he just listened to the beat of his own heart as Kyle bit his neck. He moaned. Ignoring that there will be a huge bite mark the next day he let it happen. A giggling interrupted their make-out session.
»Pavements weren't made for fucking around you fools.«
Briana was standing at the front door in a long black shirt, her blue hair tied up in a bun. Her dark blue eyes reminded him of the sea. Calm and deep. She was just looking at them and Jason could feel his cheeks getting red. Kyle looked at him with a smile. Letting go of his hand he went into the house. Jason got back into the car unable to hide his smile. This was how it started. Their story. And he ruined it in the moment he said I love you.
