'the sensitive generation'

suicide notes written and sealed in lipstick on the mirror

kids with their hopes falling out of their eyes and down their drains

media telling them they're something but they're just not quite there yet

the ones with high numbers on the scale starving and the ones with tiny numbers still starving

racial profiling used as a point of sale for big companies, the cigarette corporations setting up shop in the black neighborhoods

boys who aren't masculine aren't boys, loosing their parents respect
girls who are masculine are just butch, still loosing their parents respect

a boy wearing a short dress gets abused for his dress and a girl gets abused in a different way for what's under it

boys fucking like rabbits get congratulated by their own parents but girls getting death threats written on their lockers when a picture of their breasts gets posted on the internet

the police drop charges when the quarterback cries
what if he would've dropped it when the girl he raped was balling her eyes out?

kids these days are just so emotional,
privileged and crying at least you aren't dying
