"FRESH AIR"

I’ve always longed to feel the rain, but the government

needs to protect us (so they say) from the things beyond

our reach, the things that are learned but never taught.

All we do is listen, listen to the thunder; we hear the earth

quake and shake, but none of this matters. We hear legends

that there is wind and that the snow is cold, but we will

never truly know.

The old ones tell us that you can eat the snow, but the

parent that controls must “protect us” from everything

that is anything!

The government leaves us to slither and seethe around the

opaque tunnels that they have “Granted us with great

generosity…” so we can be safe, but all they do is keep us

contained from what is out there, and hold us where we

must always be. There is nothing I want more then to see,

for myself, if there is, with all truth, Fresh Air.
