If you were truly meant
to be a part of my life, would
you have stayed?
If you knew whether your
happiness determined mine,
would you have stayed?
Is there anything on this
entire planet that could make
you love me the way you said you
always did?
Is there something that could
prevent your absence from my
dreams that wouldn't have needed
your lying tongue to make me feel better?
If you were that unhappy with me,
if you hated our time together that
much, if every second you wasted on
me was a second you could've used to
give me a worthy goodbye, why didn't
you use it?
Why did you let day by day by day
pass without a word of truth? Why didn't
you express how unhappy you were instead
of hiding and disguising it? I would've let you
go. I would've wanted you to be free and feel
happy.
Instead you went behind my back and talked
to another who you thought was prettier, skinnier, maybe even more deserving of love.
Instead you left my side fully knowing how
much I cared for you, and throwing it away
you started with another without even properly giving me a farewell worth remembering.
