A/N: Sorry for so much dialogue it's just that there's not much else to write about a car ride oop. Also i'm bad with titles kms

Samuel had given his address to the other so he knew where to drop him off. As they drove Samuel cracked open his window, enjoying the slight breeze that wavered in the car. The car smelt of a sweet strawberry candy due to the small clip attached to one of the air vents mixed with the luxurious scent of Lee's cologne. The ride was silent, but the red head didn't mind. Well, he did a little. Lee could tell by looking over every now and then to see Samuel uncomfortably shifting in his chair.

"So, where are you from?" Lee asked the smaller man to break the uncomfortable silence lingering between the two.

"Believe it or not I'm actually from Connecticut. It's a small little town named Ledyard. There wasn't much there so I moved up here." He replied.

"Wait, so you're not from England? No offense, but I kind of thought you were because of you know, the accent." Lee said, slightly surprised.

"Yeah, I get that a lot. So where are you from?" He inquired.

"Funny thing is, I'm actually from England." Lee chuckled.

"Wow, that's odd isn't it?" Samuel laughed along. "The one with the British accent is American, and then the one without an accent is the Brit."

They laughed and continued to talk about other little things. What they did in their free time, where they went to school, what jobs they had, etcetera. Lee spoke of his love for dogs and how he used to have around a dozen while Samuel talked of his love for classic novels and reading.

The familiar silence lingered agin between the two yet again as they progressed closer to their destination. That was until Lee broke the silence, yet again.

"So, uh, I was wondering, if you didn't have any plans and don't mind, maybe I could hang out at your place for a bit? Bella can just stay in the backyard if you're comfortable with that." Lee said, gesturing to brownish ginger dog that was softly panting, still worn out from earlier.

Samuel stared blankly at the other man for a moment, still processing his words. This cool, calm, relaxed, and not to mention somewhat cute, guy, whom he had only met not too long ago, want to stay at his house? With him? To hang out?

Lee snapped his fingers in front of Samuel's face, trying to get him back from zoning out. "Hey, Earth to Sam. You ok? Is it because you don't want me in your house? I understand it's fi-"

"Wha- Oh no no it's perfectly fine, it'd be a pleasure having you over. Sorry I was just... Spacing out." Samuel blurted out.

"Ah, it's fine. I space out once in a while too. Oh, I think we're here-" Lee said as he cautiously pulled into a driveway with two different cars in it. "You didn't tell me you had neighbors or company." Lee said, examining the other vehicles.

"That's because this isn't my house, I live next door... Oh god you should probably move now," Samuel said, looking worried while staring at the white fenced door of the other house.

"Why do you seem so worri-" Lee stopped as he saw an old man emerge from the house. The white haired and wrinkly old man's face was flushed with anger as he yelled inarticulate Irish curses at them while waving a large broom in the air.

"Right right I see now." Lee said, obviously panicked as the short old man approached them. He pulled out of the driveway, almost getting hit by another car in the process. He then backed up a bit to the other's actual house and parked in the driveway.

He twisted the key and emerged from the car, Seabury shortly after. Samuel stretched his limbs as Lee unlocked the back door, letting the mutt jump out.

"That'll be a fun story to tell on our wedding night." Samuel chuckled, before realizing he said that out loud. As he quickly realized what he suggested, he felt his cheeks become hot as they overcame a deep scarlet.

"Our what?" He jokingly smirked the other man. Though he was good at hiding it under his teasing grin, he was actually almost as flustered as the other man.

"Gah, I mean, uh, it was just a joke, I-" Samuel, not knowing what to say next flung his hands up in the air before saying, "No homo I swear."

Lee laughed at his remark. "Sure you aren't. Anyway, let's just getting inside now, the sun is beginning to make me feel like i'm going to literally melt." He said, sweating. The weather had went from just warm to blazing hot in the time it had taken to travel from the park to Samuel's house.

Samuel said something, but Lee couldn't quite understand it. He walked up to the door, fiddling with the keys as Lee followed behind with his dog. The door unlocked, and he stepped in to his house, the cool air inside overwhelming both men.

Samuel relaxed as he sprawled himself on the couch while Bella had run to the back door, begging to adventure the new backyard. Lee slid the glass door open letting the dog gallop out into the open before closing it again. He thought back to Samuel's little 'joke' earlier, and began fantasizing what a wedding with him would be like. At those very moments, he asked himself something, a question that would change the way he thought for a long time.
