Buttercup awoke with a yawn she looked around anxiously
"Mother ?!" She called suddenly her plump creamy pelt appeared
" yes darling ?!" Her fur was ruffled
" I -I-I'm going in the woods cream ! That dream means something ! "
Cream hissed " buttercup ! Your not leaving here understand the forest is a very dangerous place ! "
Buttercup snarled " you can't control my whole life ! I'm not a kit anymore ! You let my brother go into the woods !"
Cream snarled " and your brother died didn't he !?"
Buttercups gaze darkened " yes .... but , I'm going I don't care mother !" Buttercups black collar with an alien hanging from it glistened.
Cream lowered her head " if you live visit me" buttercup felt her mothers bold head rub against hers
"Be careful !" Cream called as buttercup went through the window with a flick of her tail she was gone
Buttercup raced through the forest the wind ruffled her pelt she stopped sniffing the pine trees curiously she poked the green spike with her paw buttercup winced
" dumb trees " she skipped along a narrow path only big enough for a cat or two her paws thudded the ground her ears flicked towards every movement suddenly her stomach
growled
buttercup flattened her ears "hmm" she though spotting a mouse she lowered herself into a crouch keeping her tail tucked behind her she jumped up biting its spine killing it quickly suddenly she was pinned against the ground
" don't touch my prey .." a low growl came
From a tom cat
" don't hurt her pinestripe !" A yip came from a young she cat
Pinestripe sighed " I'm not birdpaw !"
Buttercup struggled" let me go !"
She kicked her hind paws at the toms belly
The tom laughed " well you'd be killed instantly kittypet !" He teased
Buttercup didn't respond
" well come on kitty !" The tom grabbed her scruff her feet dangled from the large cats jaws
Birdpaw followed behind in curiosity sniffing buttercup
The tom set buttercup in front of a light grey she cat with thick fur and blazing blue eyes
Buttercup looked up fearfully
" hello young one .." her voice was light and soft " I have been calling for you .. you've Finally came .. "
Buttercup titled her head " what do you mean ?!" Her pelt bristled
The she cat nodded " I've been sending you your dreams buttercup .."
Birdpaw watched in fear
pinestripe put his tail on birdpaws shoulder
Buttercup nodded " who are you ?"
" I am silverstar leader of streamclan ! And pinestripe is my deputy !"
Buttercup nodded " who are the other cats ?!"
" Those cats are my warriors kits and apprentices and elders " silverstar smiled
" and you buttercup are going to be staying here ..."
Buttercup purred really ?!"
" yes .." sliverstar smiled but first you will need a name ... you will start as an apprentice and I'll train you !"
Buttercup titled her head " I have a name "
" you need a clan name .." sliverstar purred
Buttercup nodded
Silverstar purred " you will now be known as " poppypaw !"
Poppypaw nodded excitement pulsed through her
A tall tom sniffed her his eyes were gone and he was very old " a kitty pet ?!" He growled
Poppypaw looked at him
Silverstars tail flicked " dewtail !" She scolded the old warrior
Dewtail grunted walking away
Silverstars pelt glistened in the setting sun " pinestripe will take you to your den poppypaw"
Poppypaw nodded " ok," she glanced at the tall brown tom his blue eyes started into poppypaws
"Come along .." he glanced At her walking towards a mossy den with stone surrounding it
Poppypaw walked in 5 young cats sat up mumbling in excitement
" hello !" Said a black she cat " I'm deerpaw! This is my brother " thunderpaw !"
Another tom dipped his head " im frogpaw !"
One tom was in the back of the den he was white with ginger spects
Deerpaw smiled "and you know birdpaw all ready !"
Poppypaw nodded " who is that ?" She flicked her tail towards the tom in the back
Deerpaw sighed " oh that's my youngest brother his names " Crowpaw"
Poppypaw nodded laying down in a fresh mossy nest the moon light shined in she drifted off into sleep
