Sometimes I lose the will to breathe.
Not the will to live,
That has been firmly mine for a while now,
Omitting that brief intermission
Between the ages of ‘Shit’ and ‘I love you’.
No not the will to live.
No I lose the will to breathe,
The heart and desire to absorb oxygen,
Because if you stop for a second,
Just a second,
Then for a perfect moment,
You stand on the precipice of an oblivion that transcends your fuckups.
When your blood vessels begin to strain,
And throb and ache,
You achieve a moment of clarity.
You understand,
The sheer immensity,
Of that entropic classroom,
Of silent vacuum,
And though it scares you at first,
Your insignificance…
It can be your armour.

I Don't Want to Die
PoesiaVarious poems. Really just an amalgam of my musings on various topics. Assorted poems of different tones. But it all boils down to the title really.
