This is a random poem I wrote some time last year and just found it deep within my google docs thought I might as well just throw it out her. Oh well.

Determination

By LavaStar

Determination is a gift
That not everyone is given.
Sometimes there is a rift
Where it should have driven.
It can help you run a race
Or help soldiers win a war
It can stare you in the face,
But look like such a bore
The best people know
That if in you're the undertow
Don't give up the fight.
Don't give up the right.
This can be done,
It can be won,
Determination is a prize
In the carnival we call life
Now we must all rise,
And use it as a knife
And cut the things,
That bring us down
The hatred, The bullying
Sometimes, our frown.
Look at yourself,
What do you see?
When I look at me
I don't see a quitter
I see a winner
