"Sometimes I wish I was fifteen again.  Back then I was fearless.  That was the year of my life when I stumbled and got hurt, I stood back up and continued fighting.  Now I'm not like that anymore.  Twenty three years old and still not going anywhere.  Still laying down where I fell.  Still hurting because I never got up.  It has been four years since the drop and nothing has changed.  I'm all alone in my room again.  Photographs are still on the walls.  Bed sheets are still pink.  I never even liked pink.  Or maybe I did.  I don't know any more to be honest.  I keep on fighting with my own thoughts that I am slowly forgetting who I am.  I'm bored with the things I used to love.  It's like my mind is fighting with my heart.  An endless battle where no one wins.  Everyone loses especially me.  I am the only one to blame, really."

Those were my last thoughts before this odd thing happened to me that night.  I was choking in my own tears and suffocated by my own thoughts.  I wanted to run away.  Far away from everything.  Far from myself.  At least from that kind of me.  Someone who let darkness swallow her down.  Someone who cried herself to sleep every single night for years.  Someone who spent her present days wishing to be back to her past.  Because the past held all the good memories.  Not only with her best friend but also with herself.

I packed a bag with some of my things including the photographs on the walls of my room.  I put on some warm clothes and headed out of my apartment.  It was eleven thirty in the night.  It was dark and freezing cold.  Which was weird since I had too many layers of shirts on me.  Also it never really got so cold in a tropical country like Lilac Islands.  I tried to ignore the temperature outside and walked for hours.  I was certain I was just going around the same area but I was wrong.  I was lost.

"If only he didn't die! If only I could turn back time.  I would do my best to stop his death.  I could save him.  I could save me!  I wish I could go back and make things right!" I yelled out on the dark silent night.

Then the weirdest thing happened.  I couldn't move my legs.  It was like I was stuck on the ground.  A few seconds later I began to spin on the same spot where I was standing.  No actually it wasn't me that was spinning.  It was the surroundings.  Like a movie playing fast forward.  Everything passed by around me.  First the sunlight came and I could see the people.  Random people.  I don't have any clue who they were.  It was as if I was walking on a street really fast while spinning around.  Faster and faster and faster and even faster.  Then darkness once again.  I opened my eyes as huge as I could but still I saw nothing.  Just pure black.  I waited for the light to slip through wherever I was until I fell asleep.

I woke up from the coldness.  Finally it was lighter and I could see where I was.  I was sitting under a tree.  A huge one.  It must be hundreds of years old.  I stood up and looked around.  Then a cold breeze of wind flew by.  I think the tree was as cold as I was.  It shook its branches like a lion shook his mane.  Leaves fell to the ground like a rain above me.  Red, orange and yellow leaves.  Not a single leaf was green.  It was something I usually just saw on TV or pictures.  It was autumn.  I was excited at first but then it hit me.

"What exactly happened to me?"

I stood there all confused.

Huge rays of light was everywhere around me.  I was blinded.  I closed my eyes and covered my face with my hands.  Sweat began to pour out of my body.  It was so warm.  Like a typical summer day in Lilac Islands.  I was convinced I was having one of those episodes where I was awake but my body was asleep.  Like I could see my dreams in my room.  That I was just in my room inside my apartment.  That everything was just a dream.

The light became dark once again.  I uncovered my face and opened my eyes.  I found myself still under a tree.  Although the leaves were green and they were all attached to the tree.  And the wind was oddly hot when it was cold a few minutes before the light came.  I was very confused.  I was scared too.  Something was going on.  I wasn't just so sure what.  It was like magic.
