In the beginning, a lot might have been said in retrospect towards the extent to which finding true love is a plausible phenomena. Maybe finding a little bit of love, like adopting a puppy or caring especially so for someone whose hand is yours to hold, is reasonable. Someone stumbling across all forms of love wrapped up into a single person, however, is unreasonable in the way that it is unreasonable to expect a sole human being to write an entire novel. Despite this, it seems as though humanity has fooled itself into believing that such a love is not only wholly real and possible, but that with enough determination and perseverance it can be found. This in itself is likely enough to explain why humans will willingly jump off cliffs and spend hours writing starry-eyed love songs to entertain the masses; the undeniable lack of an existence of true love makes the prospect of finding it even more enticing.
