We were friends and then we weren’t.
That’s just what happened, I didn’t do anything inherently bad to be snubbed out of my group of friends, but for some reason everyone had deluded themselves into thinking that I had. Maybe I had BO and didn’t know it.
I sniffed my wrist and cast a sidelong look at the guy across the rectangular table. I smelled lavender tide, sniffed it again and looked at his face scrunched in concentration. He’d just walked up to the table a few minutes before, gave me a quick nod, sat down and pulled out the hugest Shakespeare book ever out of his back pack.
Invasion of privacy much?
