Untitled Part 8

I wake up the next morning with a huge smile. First day at work. I get out of bed and get dressed, I walk over to summers room and knock. "hey, its time to wake up." 

"im already up."

"oh, okay."

She opens the door and hugs me tightly. 

"hey, you okay?"

"yeah, im okay. I just wanted to hug you."

"okay. im going to go wake up lexi-"

"just a little longer!" she hugs me tighter. I let her hold me and I wrap my arms around her and she digs her face into my shoulder. What is going on with them? they have been acting like this since yesterday.

I let go and walk over to lexies room and knock. "hey, time to wake up."

I hear her sit up and yawn. "okay, i'll be out in a minute."

I walk into the kitchen and make breakfast. Summer taps my shoulder and I turn around. "what do you nee-" She kisses me deeply. I feel heat in my cheeks rise and I kiss her back. "s-summer?"

"yeah?" she smiles brightly. 

"Please... never do that again."

She looks down and starts to tear up. "I-...im sorry."

"hey, dont worry about it, just warn me next time." I lift her chin and kiss her.

She looks up at me with her cheeks redder than an apple. She nods softly and I turn back to breakfast. 

When its done I put it on plates and I lay the plates on the table. "breakfast is ready!" 

They both come stumbling in the room and I sit at the table. They take their seats and instantaneously begin eating. I slowly start eating mine. 

                                                                      {half an hour later}   

We walk into the office and I look around. The director walks up to us and smiles. "your outfits are here." He hands us all one. I smile back and I walk over to the changing room and get in my uniform.  I walk out and wait for more orders. A siren goes off. 

"We have a major scale robbery with 20 people! Dispatch immediately!"  

The director looks down gravely. "We don't have many officers to face that crowd." he whispers to himself. I walk over to him.

"i'll go." I say softly. 

He looks at me. "not with that man-"

"I faced  way more than that alone, just give me a rifle and pistol and ill take them all on my own." 

He nods and gets me he stuff i need. I look at them and get in a patrol car, I start to drive to the bank. When I arrive, people are screaming and yelling "help". I walk in. All the robbers point their guns at me. I put my hands up. "hey, take my weapons." One steps forward. I step back. "not just one, all of you." They raise their weapons again and walk towards me. I swipe one of their legs from under them. They all open fire. I duck and shoot one in the stomach, he stumbles back clenching where he was shot. I take out the rifle and take off to a pillar. The citizens take off running. I turn from the pillar and shoot another. He drops and I feel a pain enter my right shoulder.
