So scenes like this were going to be part of the plan I originally had for this book before changing it into a series of one shots and such. I'm still sorta revising it so there's bound to be a couple mistakes. Anyways, enjoy!

Sidenote: Malik happens to be Kai's boyfriend at the moment and Snowflake is just one of my clone OCs.

"Sorry!" The clone quickly said after bumping into Kai. He got down, picking up the datachips that she dropped. "Thank you." She replied a little stiffly. The clone visibly smiled, his helmet somewhere. "So you like to read huh?" He asked glancing at the chips she dropped.

Kai shook her head. "Not really. It's just that I have to study for a test." She lied smoothly.

"You go to school?" He raised an eyebrow while looking at her.

"Obviously." She cracked a smile.

" Then why are you here?" He tilted his head.

"I have to have a job. School isn't exactly free, even if it is online." She smiled again.

He chuckled. "So what's school online like?" He asked.

Kai mentally sighed, wishing he would just go on his way. "It's... well...." She racked her brain to explain school. "It's school. Except online. And less people to deal with." She shrugged. "It's hard to explain."

"Oh..." His face fell a little but he quickly replaced it with yet another smile. "Well I'm Snowflake by the way."

She gave him a smile. "I'm Kai." She replied politely.

"Um... yeah... Here's the datachips back." He held them out, seeming a little flustered as she accepted them.

"Thanks." She started to hurry away before being interrupted by Snowflake.

"Uh, hey Kai?" He started.

Kai frowned but turned around with a somewhat happy expression in her face. "Yeah?"

"See you around?" He finished.

"Maybe." She shrugged, flashing him another smile before hurrying away. Once she got back to her room, she dumped the chips on her already messy desk, slumping down in her chair.

Kai glanced at the com on her messy desk, remembering it was about time she checked in with Malik and gave him the info she got. She grabbed the com, after checking to see that the hallways were empty and commed him, feeling a little guilty when she remembered the clone she met earlier. She shook her head. "Clones are all the same. They aren't different." She muttered to herself. 'Are they?' A little voice in the back of her head nagged. She shook her head again, pushing the voice to the back.

"Hey Kali." Malik's familiar voice filled the room, bringing back old memories of days gone by and catching her by surprise. Kai flinched and quietly cursed at the fact that there was only one volume on her com, quickly covering it so it was a little muffled.

"Hey Malik." She smiled a little, talking quietly. "Long time no see huh? Missed ya."

"Of course you did." He chuckled. "I missed you too by the way. Anyway, did you get the info?"

"Of course." She smirked. "Wouldn't be one of the best spies if I didn't. Sending it to you now." She got over to her datapad, inserting the chip and sending the info.

"Got it." Malik replied. "So, how's the republic?"

"Hmm... It's ok I guess. From what I can tell, the military is not that bad. Other than the organizing of enlisted civilians. That's just terrible."

Malik chuckled again. "Not surprising." He paused. "Meet anybody cute?"

She held back a laugh. "I'm in this situation and you're worried if I met anyone cute?"

"Well yeah, can't have you going all loveydovey over a guy over there and leaving us can we?" His voice held a hint of humor.

"For starters, there's nobody as ugly as you." She smiled.

"You say that but ya love me Kali." He laughed. "And don't deny it. You've told me it plenty of times."

Kai rolled her eyes, joining in on the laughing. "Fine. You win this time. Anyways, it's getting late, I should sleep. I have to wake up early as per usual tomorrow. Good night Malik. Love you." She added.

Malik chuckled. "G'night Kali, love you."

With that the com turned off, leaving Kai alone in her quiet room. She glanced at her bed, her things that she hadn't put away piled on top. She walked over, picking them up and setting them to the side. She crawled under the covers, mentally complaining about how cold it was. She glanced up at the ceiling, lost in thought, before shifting to the side. She closed her eyes, quickly falling asleep.
