Shen pulled up in front of the gloomy looking house. Looking down at her phone she checked the address she had written down before looking back up.
"This is the place.." She muttered before sliding out of her car. She grabbed her messenger bag out of the passenger seat and then proceeded to walk up to the door.
After 5 knocks a teenage girl opened the door.
"Hi I'm Shenandoah, I'm your cousin. I'm staying here?" Shen said to the girl, taking in her features as she spoke. The girl had curly brown hair that went just past her shoulders and bright green eyes that hid behind dark blue glasses. The girl smiled widely at Shen before opening the door further.
"I'm Castiel!, it's nice to meet you. Ill show you to your room, do you need help with anything?" Castiel said, she motioned to the black car that sat in front of the house.
"No, thank you! I only have a couple bags I can get!" Shen smiled at Castiel before lightly stepping into the house.
"Right this way! Oh, my parents aren't home right now they're on a business trip for a few days but they will be back soon!" Castiel chirped out.
Shen smiled as she followed Castiel up the stairs and then up into the attic.
Shen stared in awe at the large space.
"We made the attic into an apartment for you!" Castiel exclaimed.
"Over here is a bathroom," Casteil walked over to the left side of the room and opened up a door revealing a tidy bathroom. "Here is obviously your living room type thing hahah, and that door is your bedroom! I know it's not super big but I hope you like it!"
"Castiel, it's perfect. Thank you so much." Shen said before walking farther into the room. There was a big army green couch sitting against he left wall with a small tv that was perched upon a stand on the right side of the room. There was a small coffee table in between the two and big windows facing the street.
"I'm going to get my stuff!" Shen said happily.
"Okay, let me know if you need help!" Castiel said sweetly before walking down the stairs.
Shen followed and made her way outside. She opened the trunk of her car and grabbed the two large duffel bags that were stuffed inside.
"Hey.. Need help?" A male voice softly spoke behind her.
"Who the fuck are you?" She asked before whipping around to see who spoke.
"I'm Lip, your neighbor. Someone needs to relax." He chuckled.
"Sorry," Shen muttered, "I don't do well with strangers."
"It's fine, again I ask, do you need help?" Lip lit a cigarette as he spoke.
"You could help by bumming me a cig," Shen chuckled.
He put a cigarette between her lips and lit it for her.
"I wasn't planning on bringing those three boxes in today, but you can grab them if you want." She motioned towards the backseat of the car where here cardboard boxes sat.
Lip put his cigarette firmly between his lips before opening the car door and grabbing two of them, walking them up to the porch. He struggled with the door handle for a moment before finally getting it open. Shen put the duffel bags on her shoulders and grabbed the last box from the backseat.
Lip stood in the door way waiting for her.
"Follow me Lippy," Shen said sarcastically as she walked towards the stairs.
"What the fuck kinda name is Lippy?" He shot back.
"What the fuck kinda name is Lip?" She replied, giggling.
"Touché," he smiled.
When they made it to the attic Lip was amazed.
"This is yours? The whole attic?" He breathed out.
"Yep, pretty nice." Shen said. She set the box down next to the couch and opened up her bedroom door, taking in the room.
A full bed sat in the corner, a nightstand next to it. There were two small dressers sitting across the room and a full length mirror up against the wall. She tossed the duffel bags onto her new bed and walked back out to lip.
"You can set the boxes down with the others, Lippy," Shen said. "By the way I'm Shenandoah."
Lip set the boxes down before plopping onto the couch.
"Shenandoah, huh? That's nice. Isn't this Castiels place?"
"Yeah, I'm her cousin. Can't you tell?" Shen moved her hair to mock the style of Castiels and made her fingers look like 'glasses' siting on her face.
"Totally, it's like your twins or something," lip chuckled out.
Shen cracked a grin before pushing her black hair into place again.
Lip now fully took in her features.
Black hair, olive skin and piercing blue eyes with a vibrant yellow ring around the pupil. She wore a large black t-shirt that simply said "Get Bent" and some black leggings.
"Well, Doah. I gotta go home now but I'll see you later." Lip said as he got up. He handed her a cig before quickly making his way down the stairs. Shen smiled before sitting on the couch.
"I guess I should unpack.." She whispered to herself, "it's gonna be a long night."
